that's a very good and sensible suggestion... i didn't think of it cos i have dark hair and want to go a bit lighter without bleaching - i thought that could only be done in a salon, but after a bit of googling (after your suggestion!) it looks like i can do it at home! so that's what i shall do. :) yay!

thank you!!! i knew i could count on these forums :):)

Glad the hair cut went well... I also had problems self cutting - just like you describe....Now I get mine trimmed at the local FE college once every 4 months. Sorted :)

If you want a red/orange colour try henna...Just needs the stuff (the same stuff asian girls put on their hands - though obviously you don't want pre mixed) from an asian store and a heap of cling film (be warned it's very messy), a wide tooth comb, and what not...Pamper yourself for half the day whilst you do it (takes half a day. At least 4 hours). Lasts a good few months...Does wonders for your hair...I did mine in May and you can still see some of it . Though obviously your hair gradually goes back to it's natural colour. If the henna doesn't have lemon juice in it you need to add that. But I think it cost me like £2.50 for two packets or something and my hair is down to my bust and that gave me complete coverage :). Some very good videos on you tube...sorted :) (though wrecked my bath for yonks after and my shower curtain LOL)

Anyhow wee pad today from me (no I can't sleep) of

£200 of which £136.96 will be taken off by the loan tomorrow
