£1.00 for me again please GAP
I need to stop browsing the pet adds. I am pining for a golden cocker spaniel and an advert has appeared tonight with 3 of the little darlings for sale. They're just sooooooo expensive
I have some money saved but I would need to borrow a bit more to get one. :think:PAD-ing Since 7/1/11 2012 - £2329.10 2011 - £4760.88 :money:

I am going to be cheeky here, but why do you want to pay money for a pet when there are thousands of the wee loves sitting in kennels looking for homes? Especially if you're going to have to borrow money to get one!
We got our cats from a shelter and wouldn't be without them....
What area of the country do you live in (Gives me an excuse to google cute dogs for you!)0 -

I would have considered this but I have two cats that may object to a rescue dog (very few pups here but loads of staffies). I tried once before with a rescue dog and it pursued my eldest cat relentlessly. Poor puss. The dog had to be returned. So the pup is more maliable to the cats and a spaniel fits our home/lifestyle. If my cats were a bit more sociable with me I wouldn't need the company of a dog, but then that isn't what cats are like. The old saying ' dogs have masters, cats have staff' rings very true here :rotfl:
I should also point out that the empty nest is looming on the horizon, so the dog is a substitute child.PAD-ing Since 7/1/11 2012 - £2329.10 2011 - £4760.88 :money:

This one doesn't chase cats.
My auntie had one of these and he was a lovely sweet natured thing.
*spends the rest of the night googling cute pets*0 -

Brilliant - so cute!
I don't think I will go for the Rough Collie. I went for a job interview at a local B&B, back in the day, and the owners of said establishment had a young male Rough Collie. It decided it liked me, in a romantic sense and spent the whole interview trying to get up close and personal with my leg. The owners did nothing, but were quite clearly suppressing laughter. :rotfl:

You should try Siamese...jeez. My two cats don't leave me alone for a minute, they constantly follow me around the house, even when I need a wee. They are always snuggling up to me in bed - they even get under the covers and sleep with their heads out like a person! The constant demands for attention are wearing at times, but I love it really0
