I have another UU. Got out the lippy I had transferred from my bag to my pocket and went to put it on but it's down to the pan so can't get any more on. That's in the bin and I've put another into my pocket now. Phew, should be getting there in the lippy stakes soon so won't have so much gibble around. I don't mind only having one lippy in stock because I wear the same colour anyway. So may as well have a new one on the go all the time IYSWIM rather than having really old lippy that's been hanging around for years (like the one I've just UU and the one I've just transferred to in use).
Have opened up the No7 body butter. It's as lovely as I remember. I really like the smell. Still not as nice as the sanctuary one though :D.

Went to SD today to hunt for 19p toiletries and I succeeded! Two Morrocan body scrubs or something like that, hurt my ankle so I can't be bothered to walk across the room to check the name. It's purple and sparkly :) I don't have any body scrubs over here just half a tub of Botanics scrub (which I hate) at home. Oh and Coconut Shower Cream for 49p.

Just used up my Olay Regenerist Eye Derma Pods. I went to put the following review on Amazon but because I've reviewed something else in the Regenerist range I wasn't allowed (eh?!). So here it is. This wasn't a bought - if you are one of the many of us who got these as a freebie in the post, I hope this is helpful.

The premise of these 'pods' - small, foil pouches topped with foam pads is that the pad gently exfoliates and the cream enriches the skin.
The truth is that the pad scratches the eye area and the rich, pink tinted cream stays in the pad.

However, if you pick up your bathroom scissors and snip off the pad you'll discover enough thick cream in the pod for two generous applications. I liked the cream but why not save your pennies for a cream that's just as good applied by more conventional methods. This is wasteful, pointless, gimmicky packaging that isn't at all effective or in tune with the spirit of the times.

WIBA? It was a freebie, but no, I'm not converted.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Another UU for today, a Lush Ex Factor
WIBA? Yes, I love these sooo much, sadly they are limited edition for Valentines Day. That was the last in my stash

    Hello ladies!

How can we be in July already?

Count me in for this month please - and many, many months to come!

I will try and do my best - but it's beauty month on QVC and those 'offers' always draw me in - will try to resist the powers of Alison!

That said, I already have one in! I needed a moisturiser and so went out and bought Nivia - if it's good enough for Kate Middleton, then I'm willing to give it a try - will report back at the end of the month.

Hope that I can try and participate in the thread a little more this month - too much 'stuff' going on at both home and work last month.

I've been (fairly) good this year and cut down a lot on my toiletry/make-up purchases. However, my niece has recently started as a Body Shop at home consultant and is having her first party on Friday so I HAVE to buy something - it would be rude not to :j

I try not to go to those because I always feel I should buy something too even though there's nothing I really want and every fibre of my being is screaming "Noooooooooooo! If you must spend £15 on some cosmetics or toiletries you don't need then at least let them be from Bobbi Brown!" :rotfl:

    COUNT ME IN AGAIN PLEASE

I like how the thread's title has changed to "un-needed" toiletries!

I have 2 UUs and 2 INS to report (both needed!).

UU: Elemis PCMC. As you all know this is my HG day cream and I've recently discovered that I only had one pot left. MrM also thinks I need to find a cheaper alternative so I ordered the Garnier free samples and this pack constitutes one of my INs. Has anyone tried these yet? I'm going to start today. According to the Wrinkle Reader though I'm only a 1 (testiment to the good work that PCMC does for me) so I don't think the Garnier cream can make me skin any better however it's whether it performs just as well. If it does I'll switch but if not then I'll be trawling the internet to source my PCMC at a lower price than its £45. RRP.

Other UU: Small tube of Elemis Neck and Bust cream. Actually not sure if I have any more of these (as they always tended to get chucked in with the kits I bought from QVC) however I have a £5.00 TBS gift card that I need to use by the end of this week so am thinking of buying the new Nutrilift serum to use instead as I can't afford to replace the Elemis one in full size.

The other IN is a bottle of LE C&P for Emma. This works for her so there's no point in trying to change her cleanser.

The only other planned purchase I have so far is the Avon order I put in a couple of weeks ago. The two lip stains were not "needed" but I own mostly glosses so don't have any block colours that I use on my lips. So not adding to my stash either.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
