I bought my daughter some very early B-Day presents today, amongst which was a Body lishuss Cocoa Body Butter from Poundland. This smells absolutely divine, so chocolatey. I am SERIOUSLY tempted....

  • Two OUTs already today:

Johnson's Refreshing Gel Wash sample - Possibly WBA as it felt rich but not too heavy, was nicely moisturising and had exfoliating beads in it. I don't think it's a bad price at full cost either so it might make a nice winter product.
Johnson's Hydrating Day Cream - Possibly WBA as it was moisturising but again not heavy, and gave me a nice dewy glow.

    Afternoon!

Went to town this morning, as I had no luck finding anything at all in Cardiff yesterday - too many sale things just jammed packed on rails etc and I didnt have the patience to sift through mountains of crap on the floor and check the labels on every single items as all the hangers were wrong....
Anyway bit disappointed as pretty much nothing was open in Newport this morning - despite DP's website for example saying it was grrrr....

Ended up getting 2 dresses from New Look though for work and stocked up on tights etc and got a few toiletry related INs too - some more neccessary than others...

Bottle of Youghurt and Red Berries Shampoo - love this stuff, was the first stuff I bought when I first moved to uni, OH always says he wants to eat it. Needed some new shampoo as I have none left not even mini's anymore so it was a necessary purchase :p

2 x Poundland hair dye - used it once before, not the greatest in the world but its OK as an emergency kind of thing when I can't get my usual stuff, needed to get 2 though because its very rare for my local poundland to have any colour other than blonde....

Bath sponge - 25p - usual Wilko one. Desperatly needed as my other one has seen better days

Hair Brush not sure if that really counts as toiletries, but anyway....totally needed as Ive had my last hair brush 2+ years and the ends have broken off all the prongs and it cuts my head every time I use it

Hydration face cream - From £1land...... Only bought it because I was drawn to the fancy packaging - it looked like it should be really pricey stuff....Opened it when I got home and used it, actually think its pretty nice and my face feels good, only downside is it smells a bit like hair dye?
Never seen it before in there but if I do see it again I might stock up because to be fair for the money I think its much more value for money than using olay....

On a footnote to that I googled the face cream stuff and it reckons the RRP of it is $22.99!

Also received my subscription copy of Glamour, got some weird horoscope book as a free gift with it, me and OH had a giggle reading it in bed yesterday morning - apparently Im meant to find love at work on August 5th :p
Mag also came with 2 little samples of Johnsons stuff not that I need it as I have the full size of each of them that I got sent free a few months back anyway....

Yesterday applied for a fairly good job - 'Records Manager' its basically a cross between what I did at my last job and what Im going in my current job - the only difference is instead of being at a law firm its working for the MoJ which is obviously VERY related to my degree, hours were a bit wierd (2-10) but hey ho....Am pretty sure Im going to be made perm though (eventually) at my current role so if nothing comes up elsewhere Im more than happy to stay there

Have finished a No7 perfectly balanced cleanser, this has lasted ages, still have a bit of the matching toner left, they always seem to last longer. WBA, actually have 3 more in the stash, really like this cleanser, not drying and works well for me. Moving onto No7 age defence cleansing balm next.

Two in's today aswell, Schwarzkopf poly tint in mahogany £1.99 each at home bargains. Used this last time i coloured my hair and for the money it is really nice.

Anyone know anywhere for reasonable false nails, Really like elegant touch ones and not the cheap 99p shop ones but really cant afford any. Just fancy some to cheer myself up.

I really am trying to clear out stuff but still NEED (want) some nails.

    Hi

I have some UUs and an IN to report

Lush American Cream cinditioner: May buy again but I have found it to work really well in the start but not very good after sometime. I may try Lush Retread conditioner this time though not right now as still have some conditioners to UU. Have started with a Herbal Essences dazzling shine now
TBS Satsuma body polish - WNBA as even though it smelt nice it was not scrubby enough for me. Have moved to a half left St. Ives scrub
Cotton Pads: This was my last pack which I have finished. Replaced it with Asda 200 cotton pads for £1

    Congats on the offer seasideDreamer!
me again. has anyone had their eyelashes tinted before? I'm contemplating it but wondered if it was worth it? I love mascara so can't see me not wearing it. The main reason I was thinking of having it done is that in Oct/Nov I'm going on a 4 week holiday so thought it would take the hassle out of worrying about mascara all the time! I'll be slumming it for part of my hols, staying in hostels etc.

I get my eyelashes regularly tinted and love it. I am blonde and my eyelashes are very light so the difference is really high impacting. Would recommend it esp if your off on holiday and might be in hot weather, in and out of water etc.

Make sure you get a patch test done 24hrs before hand just to make sure you don't react. (I have sensitive eyes as I wear contacts so on the day I am getting my tinting done I don't put my contacts in at all).

I am trying to talk my pal into doing a home tint kit on me to help :money: but so far I have had no luck. They are too worried in case something goes wrong :undecided

I have booked up my "summer holiday" tonight. Viva Las Vegas :j
