Still I can now crack open my Elemis body scrub.
Ooh is this the Lime and Ginger one?
I meant to also mention that I've had a UU - though not on my own : bottle of soap and glory hand wash gone. Used by all the family in the kitchen. WNBA. Too fragranced for me and dried my hands out. Am now on the last bottle of L'Occitane Verbena handwash.
Some other Outs : threw away some old nail lacquers. Decided I didn't like the colours anymore.
2 INS but they don't count as they are suncreams.
Have started to use TBS Seaweed cleanser and the Garner face creams however both feel like they are making my face tingle. It feels like I've applied a heat mask IYKWIM. Is this normal?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I had to return a lot of my shampoos from my stash - my scalp is very sensitive and I can only use products that are SLS free. I also think i may be allergic to the BS lip balm i recently brought. I have put it on 2 nights in a row and in the morning my lips have swollen really badly. The dr says it's pollen allergy but im not so sure - the only confusing bit is that i had used this lip balm 1/2 times before with no problem. Now they're all red, itchy and sore and the swelling is still really bad by the end of the day but worst in morning. Does anyone know if I can return sale items?
I have got some INs already - 2x BS Coconut Body butter 50ml for free with the instyle cards and am expecting something from benefit soon after i had a really bad experience.
2x Sure roll on deoderants - i needed this as the dove beauty finish one just smells horrid and my palmolive one is nearly finished and these were on offer.
My sister brought me some boots extracts body butter today but i have too many butters and am not too keen on them in this weather - they're too thick for my skin. Does anyone know if i will be able to exchange them for the jergens lotions that are currently on offer at half price without a receipt?

Totally off topic but I've just won a Kenwood chef on ebay for £26.45 inc P&P- Woohoo! So happy
. I have to buy the dough hook seperately though because it's not included and that's what I want the machine for but even so, it's a blimmin bargain. Now I just have to make enough use out of it to have saved that amount from my food budget. Shouldn't be too hard with the price of bread these days

Evening all
An unexpected out today, my first for July!
Randomly at work, we have to use nail varnish to mark glass slides, so today one of the guys happened to mention they were nearly out as they painted their slide.
Not a problem I assured him, I'm sure I have a spare varnish (or 12!) at home.
Donated to work, Sally Hansen nail varnish in red patent, there is no way I would ever use this, I'm not even sure how such a bright red managed to end up in my possession!
(And although they would never admit it, I know the boys have tried painting their nails with the varnish before, just because it was there!)No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Woooooo Charlie - great news - congratulations!! :j:j
Bit of a rubbish film on at the mo, so I've sat and read all the posts and caught up.As for nail varnishes, I've liked Nails Inc for a while and have, ahem, a number of bottles. I took one on holiday, along with an M&S one. And would you believe, the M&S one lasted 6 days, the Nails Inc chipped after 2 despite a top coat. Same thing now, I painted my nails Friday evening and nearly all of them are chipped. I think a lot of M&S' toiletries are underrated. Plus they're approved by BUAV, which is a nice bonus.
Sooo tempted to try a M&S nail varnish now!!Especially if they're BUAV approved which I didnt know about.

I'm surprised they havent dried up! :rotfl:
I know I've been AWOL for a while, but still with you in spirit. I go on little shopping sprees in my boxes to look for new bottles etc to open. I actually shocked myself a couple of weeks ago when I realised I had NO shampoo or conditioner suitable for my daughter's hair and had to do an emergency shop! However, I still have LOADS of other stuff to use up before I can graduate.
IN: Opi nail envy - my nails have been so bad lately (breaking and splitting) that I've bought this to hopefully improve them. I saw someone mention earlier that they werent impressed with thisbut hopefully it'll help.
IN: I've been suffering really badly with eczema around my eyes, and of course have to be really careful what creams I use there. On reading reviews, I decided to try !!!!!!!! Tender Care Protecting Balm and its really helping. Its like a light version of vaseline in a tiny pink pot - but a little goes a long way and doesnt sting or make eyes puffy.
IN: Body Shop Ice Blue shampoo - think I bought this partially for nostalgia! It seems to work well with my head/hair - both then and now.
IN: I've bought one of Avon's new hair dyes - havent had chance to try it yet. Dunno if it'll last any longer than the one I've currently got on - I seem to have a problem with the colour fading and going ginger!
The !!!!!!!! was meant to be Ori flame - dunno why that's not allowed?XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
I got a soap dish one year for Christmas. I use it all the time now
.
Thanks for all the ideas about what it could be. I'm thinking that it's probably a flare up of IBS (not had for many years) due to the stress of late off duty, split shifts and stress at work. I think I've also aggravated myself when we had to do a sudden move on an extremely large patient. I was the only one there as he started respiratory arrest and had to yank him forwards to get him up a bit. When I have to do something like this, it seems to aggravate my coil placement and I get contractions. Everything in the outbound area is fine thanks EHbut it can be awful to be bunged up. Hopefully work will acknowledge that I couldn't help when I became ill. I did leave it for half an hour before I rang in but DH said I couldn't possibly go in as I was shaking when I was trying to get out some paracetamol and dropped them on the floor.
All they need to do is look at my sickness level. No sickness for 2 years until this farce opened up and 3 nights off sick since then
If work start saying anything, then that might be the time to innocently remember that you ought to fill in the accident book as you think you did it moving a patient.....I suspect they will soon decide that there is no reason to take anything further, not least as you were off for three days.....! ;-)mrs.butler wrote: »Afternoon you lovely people. SNIP
Avon Clearskin Clarifying Toner Pads - WIBA? - Yes these have definitely cleared up my skin, am a bit nervous about not having any now!!
Would you mind if I possibly used that quote on some of my Avon stuff at some stage? I'd just attribute it to "Mrs B." - it's great to have positive reviews from real people though!
I have one UU to report and also a sort of out......
UU: S&G The Breakfast Scrub - WIBA? Absolutely I would! Lovely stuff, smelt delicious and really effective. Think I'm going to ask MrEH to get me one of these for my birthday actually! Now replaced with the FCUK one which I'm less keen on but at least it's the last one of those I have.
The sort of out is the Avon Planet Spa body souffle stuff - it's lovely and moisturising but it seems to leave a layer on my skin which leaves me feeling sort of sticky.I'm going to stick it back in the cupboard for the time being in the hope that a customer buys one and I can then return mine for refunding. If not then I'll give it a try once we get to the winter months and see if dryer skin makes any difference - it may just be too rich for my skin at the moment? I've got a Sanctuary Spa one out to use now anyway.
A small milestone as that was the last BB in the bathroom cupboard, and only one Scrub left there too! Have just shopped from the stash and have now transferred to the cupboard a S&G spray moisturiser thing from the Xmas tote bag (Girligo?), a Daily Smooth, and a BS Vitamin E BB, and a BS Moringa Scrub. There are now NO scrubs in the stash, just the two in the cupboard and two in use - so I'm getting there....slowly!

Sawan & Pudsey - I wasn't trying to tempt you with more nail varnishes
(although when I bough the turquoise one the sales assisstant did comment on what a lovely shade it was.....!) My conclusion is that I won't bother spending £11 on Nails Inc anymore and will stick to M&S. No7's nail varnish is another one that I'm always disappointed with.
Vivh - sounds awful about paypal, hope you managed to get it sorted. I've thankfully never had any problems with it.
Valm - can't help you with the BS highstreet sale, I'm a few hundred miles away
Now my UUs - I had a double whammy last night:
Balea New York shower gel 300ml - this has been on the go since March!! It is one of the ranges I stock up on in Germany, cheap and effective. This was a limited edition, not too keen on the scent, but WBA from the range.
M&S Ingredients Guava hand & body lotion - a bit sickly, but a range that I otherwise like. WBA just not this scent.
I removed my nail polish on my toes. I bough a fancy glitter last month which I put on top but it was a buggar to get off. I used so much cotton wool and ended up picking it off. It looked great on but am now tempted to chuck the bottle, not going through that procedure again.

For removing glitter polish try this: Soak a cotton wool pad in remover, and plonk it onto the toenail/fingernail in question. Leave it there for 20 seconds while you get a second pad with remover on it. Switch the first pad to the next nail, and use the second pad to sweep down the nail from cuticle to tip in one firm motion....this SHOULD soften the glitter-based polish and what's underneath it, meaning that only a few sweeps should remove the lot. Hanval I saw a M&S summer polishes trio in a magazine and thought they looked nice, I might have to give them a try now
I also agree with you about Nails Inc. Having now tried Orly and Andrea Fulerton, I'm no longer as impressed by Nails Inc. as I previously was.
Unintentional IN
Boots Bath Crystals to test - these are a shimmery gold and smell lovely, so excited to try them out!!
Thanks for the glitter polish removing tip EHDespite all the polishes I have, I rarely use the glitter ones and they are a pain to remove.

Kaz Congratulations on winning the Kenwood Chef! My mum has her really old one and it still goes superAlso glad you're feeling better
Charlie I'm really pleased to hear your day went well
Willow, I know the feeling, but don't go down the 'np to match outfits' route. It's a slippery slope to owning far too many
PudseyDB it's great to have you back around
Anyone heard from juliebunny recently?
Hoping to pop to TK Maxx tonight. It's not somewhere I usually go as everything is all over the place and I can never find anything, but feeling I need to go
