Afternoon you lovely people. Some UU's to declare

Avon Soft Musk Skin Softener - WIBA? - Yes definitely I know its an old fashioned product, but I love love love the scent, and I think its fab!

Pantene Aqua Light Conditioner 400 ml - WIBA? - Yes I would especially when its on offer. Doesnt weigh my hair down at all.

Elle Macpherson Velvet Skin Shower Melt - WIBA? - No I really dont like EM products, and this one is no different.

Elle Macpherson Bare Fresh & Smooth Body Scrub - WIBA? - No definitely not, hate the scent, smells like really cheap "spa" products.

Lush Butterball - WIBA? - Possibly yes its probably the only Lush product I like, apart from Snow Angel.

Avon Clearskin Clarifying Toner Pads - WIBA? - Yes these have definitely cleared up my skin, am a bit nervous about not having any now!!

OPI Nail Envy - WIBA? - Maybe this was a gift but I really dont think its worth the money.

Also some IN's to admit too!!
Loreal Elvive Shampoo & Conditioner for greasy hair (light pink bottles). The big bottles are currently £1.79 each in SD, couldnt resist!
SD Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser - Even though i dont rate LE C&P I thought I would give this a go as you get 200 mls and a muslin for £3.99.
2x Black BS Eyeliners - These came with my subscription of In Style, dont really think they count!

    Hi everyone
    Just caught up from Sunday

Congratulations Charlie on getting the job, I hope your first day was great! I hope the bus journey was OK - I know just what you mean about not knowing when to get off at which stop and checking maps etc. have done it myself. Do you get a reduced weekly ticket? It may work out better depending on how many journeys you do.
P.S. hope your finger is OK - those cheese graters are lethal!

xshootingstarsx - like the almond oil idea for the nails.:T I think the nails just soak it up and will be really good for cuticles. I might when I've finished off my oil (OPI avoplex -which is only avocado oil anyway) just refill it with almond oil which is just as good and use the brush to apply it. Very:money:
Kaz - hope you are feeling better soon (((((((hugs))))))))

Have another house viewing on thursday - hope this time they turn up!

Hi all :D Normal service is almost resumed. I can stand up straight and everything! I've been doing my menu plans today and checking out recipes. It's all very exciting! Been checking recipes in my new book My Grandmothers Kitchen. Lots of lovely makes in there. Some look incredibly expensive though . Got out mackerel for tea tonight, going to have with gooseberries and mussels accompanied by cabbage and potatoes. Yum. Need to make more bread but don't think I can knead it today, still a bit tender on my stomach so will do it tomorrow. Now trying to persuade DH that I NEED a kenwood chef. I'm happy to have a second hand one though :D. It'll make light work of kneading my loaves of broead and save me quite some considerable time. Hopefully I can win an auction for one tonight (fingers crossed)!

ETA: Charlie, hope you had a good day today :D

First OUT for July yesterday morning - Lush Vanishing Cream moisturiser. WBA as it smells nice (most of the time) and works really well - it's lovely and light and moisturising but not too heavy. I have another one in the stash and have started using that.

Thanks everyone -first day was ok. What I was doing was fairly simple once I got the hang of it -opening new 'disease' files as they called onto thier system - basically its where people have claimed against companies for things like hearing loss etc and my company is on the defence side.
Bit more complex to the file opening I was used to and its a totally different kind of legal work plus entirely different systems, I always used to use Cognito but they use Proclaims.
Fairly easy when I know what Im doing though - by the end of the day I was flying through the files and didn't really even need to look at the paperwork as I could remember all the codes etc.
They are really overworked at the moment and really behind on the files...

Office is nice, its on an industrial type estate but its really nice inside, really modern and spacious not at all like it was at that call centre I went to where everything was jam packed in. Everyone has thier own little groups of desks of 4-8 depending on which department they are in, and then the admin area is in the corner which is where Im based. Have a MASSIVE kitchen and a nice canteen area with funky chairs etc :T

Typically I had 2 voicemails today from people about jobs. One Im curious about, I have no idea what the job is - one of these kind of agencies etc guy left a number saying he was keen to speak to me but I don't know when Im going to get a chance to call him! Their website isn't fantastic and there is no email address and besides from their clients listed on the website it looks like its probably going to be call centre stuff which to be honest I would rather avoid.

Don't really know what to do now because I feel a bit in Limbo - can't really take time off to attend interviews but then at the same time this job might not last forever. I might email the recruitment agency who got me the job and ask if they have any insight if I will go perm as I have no idea who I would need to speak to at the office...

On my lunch I got speaking to a guy who started temping there last week, said I have to submit my timesheet to the agency on friday and it should be paid the following week - he said he was getting like £7 p/h so Im hoping Im getting the same haha

Got absolutely soaked coming home - OH came to pick me up but whilst I was waiting you would not beleive it! I had to peel my coat and trousers off me :(

I had a look at it and a weekly ticket would save me a whole £1.75 a week lol....Their monthly passes save more but obviously no point in doing that until I know if Im going to be kept on

Finger is ok, bit sore if I touch it on anything and doesn't look the nicest :o

Basically I just sent off a billion applications on Saturday morning - had a phonecall at lunchtime today from an agency who had my CV and wanted to register me. She phoned me about 30 mins later said there was a temporary job going in Newport at a law firm (kind of like my last job) but the only problem was they wanted a start tomorrow. She said its pretty likely to go to a permanent position though but even if it doesn't temporary work is better than no work at the moment.
Don't know how much Im being paid as a temp but even min wage will be ok for me but they said perm position will be paying £15k  thats loads compared to the rest of the kind of jobs Ive been applying for!

Not really a huge idea of what Ill be expected to do there but I suppose Ill find out tomorrow

Charlie that is such good news. I used to be a legal secretary as well. I got my last job when I started as a temporary so fingers crossed for you. I've recently sent off a job application and am waiting to hear. Will be completing another one once I've finished surfing (I know my priorities are all wrong-it's just that I feel so jaded by it all). Basically I either want a term time or part time job. I'm temping at the mo in the public sector but there's no chance of the position becoming permanent and whilst the job has the potential to run until April next year I really want something permanent now.
