Disconnected laptop from router now wireless wont work

    It may be due to the fact that your daughters PC was the first to be seen by the cable network and it's MAC address is the only one that is now recognised. i.e. the router has it's own different MAC address.

    With your daughters PC disconnected, power down both the modem and the router.

    Wait for the modem to settle for a couple of minutes and then power up the router and it should then work again i.e. the MAC of the router will now be recognised and accepted.

    Yes I'll get her to try that and hope thats the reason. She was the first to go on the net with the router as she set it up with her laptop connected then the others just logged onto it, then she set up the wireless code and gave it to them
