He needs to go into the sky box setup menu and change the output to widescreen TV (16:9) format.

Good call Seamus. My parens had been complaining of the same thing, despite having checked the TV was set to widescreen mode.

When I went to have a look, they hadn't changed their cable box settings; this fixed the problem for them and they're now happy :D
  • Did anyone else notice that Ford used the "wide screen anomally" to make the Focus look longer and sleeker?

The adverts where the young lady is saying no to the fella on the plane is a good example. We have an ordinary TV (ie, not wide screen) but the picture was stretched as though I was viewing it on a wide screen! What must this have looked like on the genuine artical??

That to me is a bit of a con, cos the Focus was always a fat, short car... Never a long sleek one

I know there's a shortage of posts at the moment, but bump a 3 and a half year old thread? :rotfl:
  • As Jim Royle put it: It's the same !!!!!!. Only wider

Which leads me shamelessly to my question. Our eldest wants one of these flat tv things for his birthday, anyone know if there's such a thing as a sub £200 20" digital?
