Id get myself a cheaper phone and bb deal so maybe BT or talk talk for the broadband, all you will need it for is for emails and looking for work. For the mobile you can get cheaper deals than £30. Do you have any dvds, cds you could sell for the money., or a tv.
What area you in adn what work are you looking for,0 -
is moving back with your parents an option.that could potentially solve many of your worries and maybe be the new beginning you require to set you off on your way.
i know its hard when you get in a rut but the simple reality is its all down to you outlook and your perception of your currant situation.
the best advice i can give and many may mock me for this is simply to wake up each day and smile, even if you dont feel like it,youd be suprised how much better simply that action can make you feel.:)0 -
I have 2 cats, they get fed very high quality food. It costs me £20 per month to feed them both.
Rehoming would never be an option unless I was homeless or their welfare at risk. Their needs force me out of bed in the morning when I'm feeling my most low, they help keep me mentally stable.
So while the OP is in a desperate situation, I wouldn't immediately suggest the cats should go.
Neither would I!
However, to ignore their existence when doing an SOA and asking for financial advice without giving relevant facts isn't very helpful.0 -
Sorry to post and run, not been on here for a few days.
I didn't include the kitten as at the moment she isn't costing me anything. Flatmate's girl cat had a litter of kittens and right now flatmate is buying all of the cat stuff, with the agreement that if I keep the kitten, once I'm working I'll pay more for the cats' keep. (She isn't charging the other kittens' future owners anything either and has said if I want the cat there's no way she'll see me have to give her up due to immediate money trouble).
It is a dilemma whether to keep the kitten though. I'm in a bad state now but won't be out of work forever, OTOH I don't know how long it will take to get a new job as I've been trying very hard for 3 months now. So it is difficult to know what to do for the best.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
Had a touch of welcome good news today. I got a day's work and the company has asked me to come back for the next two days, then on Monday I have another job doing Mon-Thu, possibly Friday too.
The money I'll earn doing these is more than a month's rent so this month and next won't be anywhere near as tight. Plus I tend to find I get into a flow of temp work coming up regularly and a few jobs follow one another, so let's hope it will be the same again!Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
I havent been on this thread the whole time but have read it through and even the tone of your last post reads differently. You sound like you are in a better place and I hope this improvement leads to more good things.
Nothing more to add really although regarding the phone and BB internet, if you go onto O2 Pay as you go for £15 per month you can get 1GB of data & 50 picture messages per month for £10 which comes out of your £15 balance and you get unlimited calls & texts to other O2 mobiles. Before I get flamed I dont work for O2 or anyone connected to them in any way but I have this deal and it has saved me huge amounts of money.0 -
I don't like cats and don't think i would ever have one myself, but the posters who were criticising the Op on spending money which she can't afford on a pet, i think you may be wrong.
The Op is obviously at a very low point in her life and feeling very alone. I think this is just the time she needs someone, or something to love and that will depend upon her.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
