Security Alarms

The onus should be '... innocent until proven guilty.
The alarm went off and at the time the security man stopped you, you were unable to show any evidence that you had paid for the goods.
They asked you back to the store so that they could check it out, and once they had the facts, they didn't take any further action.security protected please remove before microwaving....." I am not in the habit of microwaving wine cartons (or the contents).
The reason for this is that the tags are destroyed by microwaving them or exposing them to a strong radio signal. (this is what happens when the cashier waves the tag over a pad on the checkout desk.
The tag was probably there for stockchecking purposes (there may have been 1 tag per case or pallet of wine) or to stop the pallets being nicked from the warehouse.
Someone in the shop forgot to remove a tag when putting the item on the shelf, but you forgot to pick up your receipt when you had paid.
Hardly the crime of the century, and is it really worth getting so wound up by something that happened due to mistakes by both yourself and someone in the shop? The tag was not a great big 'you can't miss' plastic device - it was a sticker on the opposite end to the bar code0 -
Sorry about the quality. Just looks like a regular sticky label but the only difference between the cartons.

Did you know that if you heat something in a microwave that it'll be hot and, when you bite it, juices may come out and burn your mouth and that you can sue McDonalds too?
Oh how it'd be nice for that thread to be un-deleted.0
