  • Started with my envelope system. Have sorted all the money and have realized that the debit cards can actually go away for the month now. Feeling very positive about the month. Need to buy a few bits this weekend but hopefully after that i can claim a few nsd's.
Funny how one month, the dmp end date seems a lifetime away; but with a little organisation on my behalf and rearranging of pennies....itall seems a little brighter!

  • Well that feeling of brightness lasted all of 5 hours. Barclaycard restarted interest. Making the end a little further away!!L2B.x

Have realised that i am just pants with money. Envelope budget working well apart from the fact i budgeted for a 4 week month and not a 5!!!
So next payday i will split the budget into a 5 week month and any spares will top up the emergency fund.

i have blown my money this month but it has been constructive. I have done a lot of work in the garden so i can see where my pennies went.

Had a few days where i felt totally blue, the debts have been niggling at me and I've realised how long is left. But gotta stay focused and positive.
So after 4 years slog our first debt is about to be paid in full and next month our second will quickly follow. Amazing!!

I made the 4 week/5 week month mistake with my envelopes too, and then it all went pear shaped and I threw a wobbly and gave up for a bit!

At least you can see some progress with your debts getting cleared, hopefully that will help with the motivation.

Keep up the good work :)

So ......we had a reply from DWP apparently OH was overpaid 5days of benefit 12 years ago and they want it back....fair enough that will be paid next payday. I also wrote a letter for him about work uniforms and they have agreed he is due £711 so they have changed his tax code to reimburse hum. So i guess we'll be better off each month. But my car isn't gonna get through its mot and that could have bought us a run around. So feeling a bit fed up, probably cos Im full of cold too!
Managed to gain an o/t shift at work and am selling a weeks holiday so that will have to go in the car pot. Bleeurgh is how i feel!:o
