You fill a form in at the post office and they give you a card that you can put money onto. when your car tax is due you just hand the card over. Google post office budget card. Been a life saver for me Cisco i put 29 quid on on payday and i only use it for car tax but you can use it for tv license if you don't pay DD.x

What is a post office budget card? That sounds like a great idea. Car tax always catches me out!

It's a savings card you can load up with money for bills - car tax, gas elec etc...anything you can pay at the post office for basically. I asked about stamps yesterday and she gave me a leflet on the card - like an updated savings stamps scheme, I guess

Righty, that's a job for me tomorrow then! Car tax is due in 2 months but I can put the money on it I need for that to get me started ready for saving for next year.

Brilliant piece of information, thank you :)

Just been updating spreadsheets and balances on cccs. We owe 12 creditors but in 2 months the first one will drop off. So next month we fall below £30000. The next month we lose our first creditor and the month after that we lose our second. Seems like we finally are starting to see results. From that original end date of 2013 we now seem to be moving at a steady pace towards debt free!

Struggling today. Was very good this morning, used a voucher(helped a friend out and she gave me this) for a hair cut and still have £5 left for my next cut. Went into a well known clothing shop with another voucher and treated myself to some perfume cos i was totally out and got some cheap n cheerful. But have run out of coffee and i know if i enter Mr A i will ruin my NSD. Both myself and Mr L2B cannot function without coffee. So do i break my NSD or wait till tomorrow which would still end up being a non- NSD???? If i break my NSD today i can buy a set of drawers on offer and blitz my cupboard today and feel mentally happier. At some point i have to buy drawers so do i just do it all today???
