Hi
I'd really appreciate some advice as my situation has limited my options, and because of this I've been stuck with dial-up. I have a Telewest phone line, with Telewest dial up, and have Sky TV. I've been looking at Telewest's 3-in-1 offer but the problem is that I'm loathe to give up Sky simply because it has a Brazilian channel (810) which my wife likes to watch. Telewest broadband seems a bit expensive compared to other providers but I haven't found one that doesn't require a BT line. So currently for phone, dial-up Internet and TV I am paying a total of about £47 a month. I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks.

You could go for the telewest broadband and use VoIP to make phone calls if you're willing to change your phone number. Sipgate will give you a free 01/02 incoming number for your area code. You can buy a VoIP telephone handset which is just like a normal phone so you don't need your computer on all the time. Then you just pay Telewest for Broadband, Sky for television and your VoIP provider for phone calls. No line rental.0
