Daisy's off to the V E T S...Again!

The other day I noticed she was dragging her bum across the carpet at times when she sat down, some people have suggested either worms or anal glands.
So she's off for a check up,booster shots & this. I was laid off from work start of June due to health problems but I'd rather use my vets rather than the PDSA,mainly due to the distance to the PDSA & the stress the trip might have on Daisy, and also my past experiences with the PDSA & Orbit.
Right, off to catch her & get her in the carrier....

Thanks,Just back there now,she was as good as gold in the car & with the vet.She was checked out & is about 2lb above her target weight,in good health & it was her glands that was the trouble.Vet drained them but it'll probably occur again in 6-8 months & to bring her back if it does.
As a side note, the cat I got before Daisy,Christmas, who was a white deaf cat & I had to give back after one night as she was so destructive, was rehomed as a house cat.It appears she got out in October 2010 & hasn't been seen since.
I really hope she's OK,she was such a loverly cat apart from her boistrous nature.0 -
Glad it all went well
my cats hate going to the vet even though he is lovely.
Hope Christmas is ok xMammy to 2 boys aged 5 and 20 -
How was she with getting her glands done?
I only ask because if it becomes a recurrent problem, but she's pretty good with letting you do it, the vet can show you how to do it yourself. Its not too pleasant, but it's not too bad either, and its quite money-saving!
I'm glad she was okay
Sorry to hear about the other cat, I really hope she's okay somewhere. 0 -

Yup,vet said it's quite rare in a cat but they do see the odd case, she was walking quite odd when we got back, almost that 'I've shat myself' sort of waddle...Gave her a tin of Tuna when we got home, which she enjoyed...0 -
Oh my. I have just googled emptying glands.

I might have to do that for two of my mob. The fluffball leaks sometimes - it must be that I'm cleaning off her. And the other one scoots across the floor - I just thought she had an itch and no manners.
Thought it was just a dog problem.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
