Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thursday 30th June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

morning all! couldn't find a thread so stated one myself.:)
Am off to work soon, just having a slice of toast and a cuppa first.
Slept ok, still snuffly with the cold but the Beechams do seem to be helping plus the olbas oil so I slept ok.
No washing today as I did 4 loads yesterday.
House tidy so not really anything to do before work.
Probably some more nice home grown spuds for tea tonight - not sure what with just yet though.
Looks like a nice morning here.
Hope you all have a great day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Peppered steak for tea tonight with pots & veg from the garden.

Good Morning Tappers,HH, redruby & all who follow.Bit cooler last night but still pretty warm.DD has the day off today and two of the DGS as well so we are going to maidstone to buy a couple of tops for the summer.Dd has lost a good 2 stone since January and looks so good on it.We will probably have lunch out and then have to get back to pick the youngest one up Weird the junior teachers are all on strike but the infants aren't Mikey won't be a happy bunny that he has to go to school this morning.Still I could have had a lie in but once I'm awake I'm up.So a lesuirely breakfast and shower for me this morning as I won't have to pick DD up until around 10.
Boys loved the butterfly cakes yesterday bless them.I am hoping to hear from Davy as to how his MRI went yesterday. No washing or ironing to do today as everything is up to date at the moment One good thing about this weather it gets the clothes dry quickly.Fingers crossed for Andy Murray it would be great to have a British champion for a change, and he has worked hard for it .
Take care every one and have a good day whatever you are doing
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
Morning all.
Bright and sunny here.
WM on with a load of whites. Have put vinegar in the rinse. Used to do this every wash but have got out of the habit. Anyway, won't do DH's whites shirts any harm and will get all suds out of the towels.
Need to strip what's left off the chicken in fridge and bag up and freeze. Have frozen left over gravy although there wasn't much. Will make stock or soup with bones.
Just me for lunch so will have a roll from freezer and cheese and coleslaw + lettuce. I made a bowl of coleslaw the other day. Forgot how much I like it.
Tea is easy tonight as we're having arrabiatta and salad. DH home a bit early tonight then has a long weekend so I think we're heading out for a drink tonight.
Queen comes up to Edinburgh tomorrow to re-open parliament so planning to go along and see her arrive there. Think there are processions down the Royal Mile as well. The forecast is dry so that's something!
Have a good day folks. Off to get started on a pile of ironing. What fun.

Morning all
Lovely here again, sunny with a light breeze. DS is off school today and is going to my neighbours until ExOH can get there and pick him up. I've got a training day today. Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake after lunch, always have astrong urge to nod off.
Tea tonight is leftovers from the fridge, can't be that bothered to cook at the mo. DS is at his Dad's overnight so will get to go to the gym this evening. Also need to do a bit of shopping on the way home, don't really need much at all so shall go to Lidl.
Have a good day all and hugs to all who need one.
