With "official" jobs, you're guaranteed over £4 an hour (minimum wage at £5.35 gross) - many "cash in hand" ones pay less than this.0

I do cleaning too. I clean for one lady and home-help for another. I declare everything though because too scared of getting caught. Quite profitable. Take in ironing for one of these ladies too. Combined with mystery shopping it is enough to get by and very flexible. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Its a long thread but worth a look... the Great 'Bit On The Side' Hunt from the Mortgage-Free Wannabe board. Its not all cash-in-hand but there might be something useful there.
Thoroughly recommend matched betting by the way... as long as you have a bit of cash to start with (I did it with £30 but £150 is easier to start with!) you can be making a reasonable profit for quite some time. And you can fit it in around your other commitments and work through the offers as fast or as slow as you like. Have a look at the Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes board for all the info.Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. The going rate for cleaning is about £6.50 per hour where I live.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

How much would a one night a week paper round pay? £10?
Well, when I had one it was £10 a week!!0 -
Maybe a bit late now, but I would ask around at some of your local courier companies. (If you are a driver!)
I know of a few friends that have had cash in hand work via courier companies because they are soooo stretched at the moment with the volume of deliveries thay are meant to manage.0 -
where I live people are crying out for cleaners, gardeners, handymen etc. the going rate is £10 per hour (because even age concern etc. charge more than that) adverts in local shops/parish magazine/local paper or pinned on the local notice board will find you customers.Mutual Supporters club member (Nov 2006)

Hi
Just thought i'd put my wee bit in. I started delivering for my local chinese a couple of weeks ago. Gets me around £70.00 for 2 nights work a week plus a free meal each night so i get fed too. I don't find it too intense as its not a busy place and on a Sunday can actually get my ironing done between deliveries. Its the tips that make up alot of the cash and i actually enjoy it. Hope thats an idea for somebody11/12/09Egg Card £350.00 Egg Loan [STRIKE]£2210.91[/STRIKE] Tesco CC £4772.34 MBNA CC £5500.00 Virgin CC £12523.31 M&S CC £814.54Legal Fees [STRIKE]£1653.19[/STRIKE]Ex G/Friend(Cohabittee Law) [STRIKE][STRIKE]£4000.00[/STRIKE]/£3600.00 :mad::mad: Overdraft £1500.00 Orange Phone(Ex GF) [STRIKE]£316.00[/STRIKE]Total Debt £33640.29:eek:0
