Absolutely no worries. I always think it doesn't hurt to make the suggestions. One can always apologise afterwards if it wasn't the right thing to say.
Ref the 2nd job, yep can see where you are coming from there. Would be hard to fit it in! But maybe mystery shopping might be a plan. You can fit them in as and when.
Another thing would be shop and scan, where you get a shopping gun and you scan your items as you go round. I don't know how often they take people, but it is a little to bump up your pot.
Hope things come right for you soon
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Went to what I thought was the Job Centre in town this morning, found out it's actually the Citizen's Advice Bureau!
Came back home and then went online and found I could fill in an appliacation for Jobseekers Allowance and then they would ring me to arrange an interview... oh well.
Also using the *Benefits Calculator* worked out that I should be able to claim Child Tax Credits as well but unfortunately had to ring up to get a claim pack (cannot do online). This wasted 16 minutes of my life on hold - sorry 15 minutes on hold and 1 minute asking for the claim pack . Still I managed to sort out a good portion of my emails whilst waiting.
Hopefully with the Jobseekers and Tax Credits this should amount to £100 a week which will help towards the bills. The Tax credits said that they can take up to 3 weeks to process and I need to await the JS interview to find out about that.
I've had some emails through about surveys that I can do so I'm just about to make a cup of tea and then do those.
I also had a phone call from school this morning so may need to pick my son up which is the last thing I need since this will be a 2 hours round trip in walking...0 -
Overall I managed to *make* £34.58 this weekend with eBay sales. I've just transfered this to my account which will help keep it in the black. Paid £3.49 for packaging (and will have surplus) and will find out how much the postage is in the bank tomorrow so I can find out what my total *profit* is
Still awaiting payment from one person which should be another £3.49 in total, but will only count when I receive the money - been there before!
I'm being good in that I have transferred the money to my bank instead of leaving it in the Paypal account where I would have been tempted to use it for my own crafty means. In the bank, at least it will go towards bills.

Just started to read Memorygirls debt diary - there are over 200 pages!!!
Still in the first post it recommends reading "The Secret" and "Eat that Frog". I've put them both on my Amazon Wish List. The Secret is £10 on the Kindle which is more than I have ever paid for any book on the Kindle (Kindle is preferred method as I can read whilst knitting or in bed as I don't have reading light for books but I do for Kindle - plus it's a take anyway option along with Dip In - Dip Out). Eat that Frog is only £4.50.
I did some surveys yesterday - member of two sites - I have £6 on one and 600 points on the other (1300 points or so is equivilent to £10). So for both sites I'm about halfway to getting a £10 Amazon voucher. I choose Amazon originally because I figured it could fund my reading habit and I'm still happy with this choice.
I already own David Allens "Getting Things Done" and although I have read it I know I need to read it again. I had already promised myself that I would read it and utilise the theories when I get a new job. I guess this means that "The Secret" would be the most relevant to buy first as soon as I get my surveys done and get a £10 voucher.0 -
Okay, I've not read the book but from what I can gather one of the components is to do the worst thing on your list to get it done.
I haven't made a list but I guess procrastination (however you spell it) comes into it. Well I managed to package up all of my eBay sales last night but was still waiting for payment on one item. I received the payment this morning so I knew that really I needed to package that up as well so that I wouldn't have to make two trips to the PO... but I just couldn't be bothered:o
Fortunately sense prevailed - that and the fact that I have two interviews tomorrow, one in the morning and one in the afternoon so it will take all day - and I wont be able to get to PO comfortably tomorrow so ideally just need to get it done today. PLUS a speedy dispatch is required to keep my eBay rating up
So, anyway now I have packaged this up so the post is waiting by the front door for as soon as I leave the house.
At the moment I am *waiting* on the off chance that I get an interview this morning. Long story which I wont go into but when it hits 10:30 I will know that I don't have enough time to have an interview this morning (and make the one that is already arranged for this afternoon) so I will nip out to the PO then.
Actually, going back a few steps, whilst I actually have *time* I suppose now would be a good time to start reading GTD again as I will have time to go through everything and make lists (as I know it is very list based and this is what works for me).0 -
I think both the Secret and Eat that Frog available for download, I have both and can e mail them to you if you like - PM me your E mail address?
I wonder if you can read them on your Kindle? worth a look?
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
And i also have Getting things done, like it but never really go to grips with it! Although as most people will tell you I love a good list!

Thank you for the offer Buffy I will take you up on that.
Right I need to get ready now, I have two interviews today so need to get showered and dressed....
Fingers Crossed:D:D0 -
I've already had feedback from the interview that I went to this morning - good and bad news!
The chap thought that I was great and all that but thought that I was maybe over-qualified and might get bored within a short time. Also he wasn't sure if he would get sign off for the salary that I was expecting (even though that was what I was told it would go to). A shame really since it was a 90 mile round trip that I didn't necessarily have to make and then I could have spent more time organising myself for the interview this afternoon for which I was given lots of information for and didn't have enough time what with having an interview yesterday afternoon and so planning for that first and then obviously out all day today so I only really had last night. This is a job that I really like the sound of, the people are great and I really want it.... fingers crossed that I get a call back for a second interview....0
