I don't use this diary much as I never have much to say.
BUT today I have.
:j:jI have paid off and CLOSED my Next account:j:j
I made a payment today of £546.41 which I have been saving little bits towards and then with the overtime in my pay today I could pay it off.
I am so happy that I have got rid off another creditor.
Down from 6 to 3 now.
And got rid of £3600 of available credit :j:j
Lots of jumping up and down going on. Imagine what I will be like when I am debt free.Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -

I haven't been here for a while but have been mostly posting on the 'Pay off as much as you can in 2011 challenge'.
I pledged £6000 for this challenge and today I reached 50% off that in overpayments alone. I dread to think what the amount would be if I inculded minimum payments too.
I won't reach my target this year but I am a lot closer to being debt-free than I was this time last year so I am happy I stubbled across these diaries.
Although I don't use mine much I lurk a lot and pick up lots of hints and tips. So thank you all very much.
For my own records - I am currently giving up smoking via Champix and once that last cigarette has been smoked I am opening up a savings account to put my fag money in and then make a huge overpayment on my debts.Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
NSD today :j:j
I can't remember the last time I had a NSD.
The reason I didn't spend any money - I didn't need to go into a shop to buy fags :j:j
I am quite proud of this achievement.Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
Hi all,
I haven't really got the hang of this keeping a diary thing.
I started one at the LBM and kept it going for a while and made some positive steps towards paying down the debts and closed 2 accounts within a month of starting my diary.
I started a second diary (this one) and sort of didn't have anything to say so let it fall by the wayside.
I post regular overpayemnts on the 'Pay as much as you can in 2011' thread and that has kept my motivation going.
Now I find I need a little more motivation.
I have the overpayment thing sorted.
I get paid, leave the money in my account, pay my minimum payments and then the day before pay day I pay what is left in my account as an over payment.
This works well for me at the moment as there is not much time until the 'man in red' visits so I can make purchases and know there is money in my account to cover them.
I am going to start ebaying again.
I did this in the beginning of my debt free journey and did quite well. I don't expect to make millions from my tat but a little extra would be good.
I am starting PPI claims on 2 catalogues and 2 Credit cards.
Don't expect to make my millions here either - to be honest don't expect to get anything as I have no original paperwork.
Day 10 of not smoking today and I have noticed that has made a big difference to the amount of money in my purse at the end of the week. Which is great.
I am going to aim for 3 NSD as I don't go to the shops for fags anymore :j
Well I shall aim to up date at least every other day

I have decided to start Ebaying again.
My plan to list 3 items every other evening starting tonight.
This afternoon after work armed with a camera, notebook, pen and a box, I am going to start the massive clear out.
Must remember to get a box from work.
In other news I am on day 11 of not smoking :j
But diet has to start today as the not smoking has led to the eating of sugary substances
So Monday here I come!!!Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
3 items on Ebay last night. Might try for another 3 tonight but a busy day ahead so not very likely.
Day 12 of not smoking.
Haven't had a NSD yet and not likely to be today either.
Just keep in there.Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
One item from my 3 on Ebay sold so will be posting that tomorrow (love printing postage through Ebay....so easy).
Re-listed the other two items again and added another 2 items.
Day 17 of not smoking
Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
Well just a little up date.
Day 31 of not smoking :jbut I haven't been putting the money in a savings account. I know how much it is so should really.
Sold a couple of items on ebay and used this money to buy a couple of bits of clothes from ebay for my daughter - so money neutral.
NEED to reduce my grocery spend.
We are only a family of 2 adults, 1 child, 2 cats and a rabbit.
But I seem to spend a fortune in Tesc*.
So my plan is to tally up grocery spends and not spend over £250 in November.
Have a good Monday
