I think I've just bought shares in my vets practice!

Took HER (OH will be referred to as HER for the rest of today at least) cat to the vet tonight as SHE was at work, yeah Ok....I've been stitched up more like!!

Consultation fee + blood test + an injection (never seem to get away without one) + some poxy tablets + 3 tins of "special" food = £160  & the icing on the cake??? She didn't have a clue what was wrong! "We''l know more when the results are back"

The receptionist was telling me how to feed the "special" food... "you can warm it in the microwave" she said! I asked if I could put it on toast which got me a blank stare & a "why?" in reply.

"Well it at these prices it must the finest Foie Gras & I'm having it, the cat can whistle" I said, in a jovial (not) way!

I wouldn't mind so much but I don't even like cats!

we took our dog to the vets yesterday because of a couple of small lumps on her head.

The vet looked at them told us what they was and said they were harmless and then said ..................

................ there will be no charge :D

So they are not all bad
  • ooooohhhhhhh dear!

    Sorry, but ........:rotfl:

(note to poorly kitty - you better eat it! None of your usually "kitty fussyness").

your welcome, I am glad I could help, although I suspect there may be a slight touch of irony in your thanks. :D

you do know that for 160 quid it would have been cheaper to get a new cat, or you could have even got a proper pet (dog) for that amount ;)

At least you got an operation!! I got 10 mins with a vet scratching her head & a vet nurse standing with a syringe doing an impression of Dracula in a blood bank.

Sorry, but haven't laughed so much for AGES!

Hope kitty feels better soon - sure the "special" food will do the trick!;)

If it's even the slightest bit of consolation, I'm sure SHE appreciates it loads ..... just think, the next time you want to go somewhere SHE doesn't .... have a day out with your pals .... play golf/football (or whatever), at even the slightest "but...." - you can play your ace card!:)
