'Generous' fitted sheets - where did you get yours?

Although mattress sizes are supposedly standard my king size bed seems to be bigger than most and I struggle to find fitted sheets to fit it.

Most of the ones I have bought have ripped at the corners as they are just not big enough for the mattress and not only this but the mattress is so heavy that by the time I've managed to squeeze the sheet on (by lifting the corners up and bending them back) my nails are in shreds and I feel like I've done a work out at the gym!

Does anyone have a king size fitted mattress that is more generous than most? If so where did you get it please :)

Oooh, what a good idea - I knew Ikea mattresses wer slightly different sizes as before I bought this bed I was going to get one from Ikea but decided against it due to them being 'funny sizes' so was worried about getting bedding for it.

I didn't know if they were bigger or smaller though so that's a fab idea - thanks!
  • Aldi have some super ones now and again--they are a sort of jersey material-soooo easy to put on and off-and lovely and warm in the winter....they stretch very easy to put on.
I might be crazy but I'm not stupid....

Another vote for IKEA - don't go for their cheapest sheets as they're not great quality and don't wash too well (they go a bit bobbly and they're really thin) but their mid- and upper range sheets are fantastic. We bought a couple of sets years ago and they wash really, really well.
