Almost purchased from them as they are by far the cheapest on the web but everything just screams "dodgy". It's funny how they seem to show up on a search for nearly any model of TFT monitor and of course, are always considerably cheaper than anyone else.
The website has no trust whatsoever and not even product images, if this is a scam, then they should get removed from Google's index - they are appearing for tons of search queries and I've not found anyone that has had a pleasant shopping experience with them (that being said, I haven't found much in the way of poor reviews either)
Think I will avoid for now...0 -
Looking at the domain registrant details you get:
PC Titans
Arthur King ()
+1.000000000
Fax:
P.O. Box 1236
Branson, Missouri 65865
US
The address, by the way, points to Branson Airport which is in the middle of nowhere

Phew. I was just googling PC parts and there guys came up quite a lot cheaper, but it just didn't seem right, figured I should google the company and found this at the top.0

I was browsing the products on the PC Titan website and as discussed, their prices were much lower than found elsewhere and I thought "wow, gotta get these while they're still cheap".
Next thing I know, I loaded another PC Titan page and the whole website turns into a sex search engine!!!
WARNING: NSFW! (Not safe for work)
www(DOT)pc-titan(DOT)com
Anyway, after some googling, I stumbled across this thread so I decided to post this
Hope I've helped you hold onto your money a little longer, because that site was clearly scamming people
EDIT: The website is now back up and appears to still have the same low prices and interface. Still wary though.0 -
There's nothing to be wary about - it's 100% sure that it's run by a thief.
1) Says Malyasian Company
2) Domain registered in USA
3) owner lives at an airport in the states miles from anywhere
4) Doesn't accept credit cards - have to wire money to them.
5) Always undercut all other competitors by about 10%
This kind of practice is reaching plague like proportions not only on internet shop sites but also sites like play.com and amazon.com where a new seller suddenly starts selling all the latest blu-ray box sets etc for at least £ 3 cheaper than any other seller including Amazon and Play themselves. By the time the goods don't arrive and people get suspicious and alert Play or Amazon, they have already taken about 200 orders - naturally, people always go for the cheapest buying option. Luckily with Play and Amazon you get your money back but it's a golden rule really - if it looks too good or cheap to be true, it usually is.0 -
Hi all Viewers,
Listen, 4 days ago i sent PC-TITAN £248.96 for a iPAD 1 Tablet.
It was the best deal that i could find !
I then sent the money from my Bank account to theirs via "international Payment". I told my house mate about the good deal, he said "show me" so i did and he pointed out that this was "A SCAM" by this time my money had GONE!!
I Sent an E mail to PC TITAN and it got a return E mail from MAILER DAEMON, ie, " No such E mail address !! Looking into it, there was NO contact details and No phone number etc, Yes, i have been DONE OVER !!
I called my Bank and explained to them what had happened, and because i sent it by "International Payment" there was nothing they could do apart from ask me to call back in 30 days to raise a Dispute !
Unlucky Me 123 !!!0 -
I also nearly purchased off this site, £30-£40 cheaper for a Synology DS211 seemed like a good deal. When I went to create a user account I noticed Date Of Birth was a mandatory field and immediately alarms bells started ringing. !!!!!! do they need my DoB for? I searched around for site contact details to see where they were based to no avail, spotted a page saying shipping was a flat rate of 15 Euros (??) so my next port of call was a Google search for "anyone used PC titan" which brought me here.
Happy to see my scamdar is still working ok.0 -
please avoid pc titan like the plague it is as stated by many overs a scam and the layout looks an awful lot like overclockers.co.uk which is a legit uk site0

I was also looking at their site & thought the prices were too good to be true. So I googled "what are PC Titan like to buy from?" & this forum came up. (I've used this forum before). So its just saved me throwing my money to a bunch of thieves, thank you.0

Hey guys, also came across PC Titan today and actually got to the completed order section. I continued with it as I was wanting to see if the price included vat.
Anyway.. the only details that I gave during signing up and making the order were
Name/D.O.B/Address and also my email address.
I then got an email that went into my junk mail saying that to complete the order I must first make a payment to the following blah blah
Obviously this isn't legit but I'm curious whether or not I've put myself at any risk.
Thanks.0
