PC Titan

Hi all,

Has anyone ever ordered from pc-titan.com? They seem to be a lot cheaper for most components but don't seem to show very much company information on the site and I'm not sure whether to trust it.

Thanks,
Nic

Seems to have just appeared recently. I've been looking for a Netgear Duo for a while and this mob just appeared at the top of the list on Google Shopping. While trying to find out who they were, your post appeared at the top of Google results. :-) Edit> In the name of the wee man, Google is quick, you only posted the above 20 mins ago!

No credit cards accepted so that's an instant strike form me. If you want to pay they need you to wire money to Kuala Lumpar. DiTaQ Computer's website is down. Research on the internet says they call themselves Malaysia's largest exporter of computer goods. Hmm.

Payment details.

Accountholder: DiTaQ Computer
Account Number:105-344741-101
Bank Name: HSBC
Swiftcode /BIC: HBMBMYKLXXX
Bank Address:
No.2 Jalan Leboh Ampang
50100 Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia

Everything seems to be around £30 cheaper than anyone else. I'm going to avoid.

I didn't get as far as looking at credit card details but from the information you have, I think I'll avoid too. I should imagine even if it was genuine you'd be hit by an import tax too which would bring the price up to average.

Well spotted. Just saw these guys when looking for QNAP TS-212. Definitely cheap but the whole Malaysia thing sounds dodgy.
• I have just tried to order stuff, as it was cheaper, however i wasn't asked for any money details, and having read the responses above about direct bank transfer i might just wait and see what happens for now, if someone has the guts to order and gets their stuff then i might go for it.
• I was looking for info about them as they've got a great deal on a Toshiba Satellite.

From Malaysia you have to factor in Customs duty & handling charges.

No credit cards implies it may be a scam. Particularly as their return T&Cs states that you can't get a refund only exchange or credit note.

Best avoided I reckon.
• well Garmin nüvi® 2460LMT is like £239.99 in every other site but on pc-titan.com it's only £152,54. can anyone confirm if it's legit???? a face website wouldn't have such a HUGE selection of in my opinion

Hi all, googled my way in here after placing an order on said site.

the first suspicious thing i noticed was the site asking for my date of birth - nothing blatant, but gave me a feeling something's not right.

then i placed my order and got 2 emails, one was order confirmation, the other one was as follows:

____________
Dear Customer ,

You successful created your Customer Account, now you got following featues in our shop.

-Customer shopping cart - Every item remains registered until you go to the cash box, or the products are deleted from the shopping cart.
-Addressbook - Now we can send the products to the postal address selected by you. The perfect way to get a birthday present.
-Previous orders - you can check your previous orders at any time.
-Opinions about products - tell zour oppinion about our products to other customers

If you have questions to our customer-service, contact us directly: .
Caution: This eMail-address was announced to us by a customer. If you did not announce yourself, please send an eMail to .

________

as you can see, there's no address to "eMail to" or any other means of "contacting directly"

in the confirmation email they sent me the same account Frankly mentioned.
ditaq computer's site has the same layout and the same products; only now i see how huge the catalogue is, as i googled my way in straight to the product. really not sure about this.

the only thing google can say about this "company", is "has anyone bought from there? is it reliable? is it safe? can anyone confirm this?"

dont know what xt commerce is either, google doesnt give much and my head is starting to hurt

i'm just going to pretend none of this ever happened. _pale_

DON'T BE TEMPTED. Any online deal that undercuts the average price is, usually, too good to be true. And with an account in Malaysia? Forget them and move on...
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.
• and now it's gone, absolute scam, if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true…
