You are right, I did try to join up with the best intentions of sorting out the mess of my finances but basically have had my head in the sand for what seems like forever now. I was getting help with the CCCS but the 6 month breathing space i've got with them has come to an end and now my creditors have started to send letters again.
I am paying them back £1 a month, I know it was stupid to take out this loan and I wasnt thinking of the consequences and just wanted the money there an then... They make it so easy to just get money with a few clicks and i'm a real sucker for it.
Thanks for the grilling everyone, As much as I dont like it I need to be make to feel stupid because I have been, But I just want to start clearing this mess up and my maine priority right now is Wonga.com.
What should I do?? They want the money tommorow and I have 62p in my account, And no I wont be able to get a penny from family.Paid off all debts (apart from Student Loans)
Now am in the process of building my credit score.
Next goal is to acquire mortgage by 20200 -
You should have phoned them today like someone told you to. Phone them tomorrow morning. Just be completely honest and see what they say. Someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think you'll get a charge from your bank for a declined debit card payment so that's at least something you won't get screwed on. Don't borrow any more money from nasty people. Even if you ended up putting them six feet under, it's all just unnecessary hassle.
Good luck.

You were told at 2.57pm to ring them NOW...... but you obviously didn't.
Please don't litter the forums asking for advice but ignoring everything you are being told, it's wasting people's time.
You would have had this sorted by now with an extension. Instead, you are in a deep hole.0 -
For what it's worth, several posters have commented that Wonga don't want to talk to you until you are in default anyway, so the advance call may not have helped as much as you'd hope. Have you considered bankrupcy if you have exhausted every possible avenue? It will suck badly for years, but you do seem is a pretty hopeless position, and the rate interest and charges are going to mount up from all your debts you won't even stand still on JSA.
Just checking - have you considered taking a job?0 -

I think its absolutely disgraceful if wonga allowed you to borrow £350 whilst on benefits ! (Of course if you declared this)
They will try to take 100% of the loan first, Then 75%, Then 50%, Then 25% from what i've heard. After that they will continue through out the day before contacting you ! For your silliness you will occur a mis payment marker on your Credit file, Which if you ignore they will default the loan + add a lot of charges onto the account.
If you where honest on the application, i would write to them explaining the financial trouble you are currently in !
If you lied on the application, Then you really are in some serious trouble here.' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

He might not get charged for a failed debit card payment but what happens if his bank allows the payment to go through? He will be in an unauthorised overdraft no doubt with a one-off charge for that and possibly daily charges like Halifax do when you are in an overdraft which considering his benefit money is due in next week and I'm assuming will be paid into the same account, will be swallowed up clearing up the deficit meaning he will not have a penny to even buy food/essentials with! That is a serious situation for someone to be in and really OP you should have called them yesterday as advised because unless you can borrow money from people in real life, you might not be able to feed yourself assuming you have no other money/credit available to you.0 -

I would go back to CCCS are get some more advice from them. Someone has already mentioned that you might want to think about bankruptcy - well you might also want to consider a DRO (debt relief order) which you might qualify for.
Stop borrowing money, be it from payday lenders or from people in 'real life'. Start making sure you live only to a level you can afford on your benefits.
Wonga will try to take money from your bank account everyday. Do you have online banking? you might be able to withdraw some of your benefits the night/day it enters your account before Wonga try taking the money that day. Which would give you something to live on for the next couple of weeks at least (and hopefully stop you taking out more payday loans). Then you might need to think about changing your bank account to a new bank and arranging for your next benefit payment to be paid into that account and close down the current one. And after that you will either need to arrange a repayment plan with wonga or consider some other solution - perhaps a DRO.
I would do all this ASAP as wonga will keep adding on fees and interest and they soon add up to really scary figures.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
^^ if you do nothing else today op, read the advice from Tixy above and make it so........."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
