LPG or Oil

Hi
Just looking for advice
We have just brought a small mobile home and at present it has oil heating and water boiler.
We wondering if we would be better with a LPG combi boiler instead or is it cheaper to continue with the oil.
The issue we have with the oil is that we got a water tank in our kitchen that takes up a lot of space and to get hot water you need to turn it on or there a switch beside tank that heats water by electricty (we think)
If we stay with oil can anyone advise if there is a way we could remove water tank and may replace with just a boiler for hot water and use oil boiler for heating only
Thanks in advance
Carol

I'm no expert on mobile homes, but certainly for domestic use, oil is quite a bit cheaper than LPG ( at the moment ! ). Both are more expensive than mains gas, but if mains gas is not an option then oil is probably your best bet.
For the hot water, would a combi boiler be an option for you ? I'm thinking of the small electric "on demand" heaters that you commonly get in village halls and the like, in the kitchen. Essentially it's like an electric shower, it heats the water as the water flows through it. It means you don't have to store a tankful of hot water. Again, it'll be more expensive to run than a mains gas boiler ( though a lot cheaper to buy ), but depending on how much hot water you're using it shouldn't be too bad. And it'll give you the space saving you're looking for.0
