Tracing ex Husband

Hi,

does anyone know a cost effective way of tracing an ex husband?

We separated over 30years ago and there has been no contact between us since then. I want to tie up loose ends and divorce him (if he hasn't already divorced me :)) but I understand that I need to know his current address for the papers to be served?

Private detectives look a bit pricey so I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper way of doing it?

Thanks

Do you know any relatives or friends of his?
Might be worth asking around as you may find out where he is now through hear say.

How come you never got divorced following the seperation? 30yrs is a long time!

Probably just suggesting things you may have done but

Do you still have any friends who may mutually still know him or his family
Perhaps an advert in a local paper where you used to live or where you suspect he may live
Has he a common name if not you could use to google or the electoral register
facebook or friends reunited...although i'm guessing by the lenght of time since contact...he may not be a facebooker!

Beginning to wonder if RAS has shares in pipl.com;).

I searched it yesterday, and it will throw up results from 192.com, facebook, linkedin, all sorts of websites. It'definitely a good place to start.

Gotten a few possible leads from this already. Thanks :A

Why didn't I get a divorce earlier? No kids, no assets and I didn't want him to know where I was at first. (I was the one who left and moved away at the time.) Then I just plain forgot I'd ever been married. Now I just want to tie up the loose ends :)

No mutual friends and no idea where his family might be now.

Problem was he used to travel a lot and might not even still be in the UK -

    Oh i see.

Well i wish you all the best and am glad you are making progress.
If you can`t find him maybe search for a relative instead they may be easier to track down.

Just found out that in these circumstances, even if I can't find him the divorce can be done anyway :D
