Me and the other half, have had a joint account ever since we got together, we both draw the same amount of what we call laughingly "pocket money" then all bills are paid out of the joint account, and we try and save anything left over each month.

What a muppet :( Sorry things have come to this :( I just hope that he will support you and his child(ren) properly. It sounds to me like he things he will have more money on his own. What's he going to do - move in with his parents, or with friends? if he moves in with friends I can't see them wanting to sub him all the time.

It's fine honestly. I'm kind of relieved in a way - will be a weight off my shoulders. I dont know where he will go - He says he isnt paying towards anything for this month as he needs it (?) So I'm doing some major budgeting later - well - you live and learn
  • Didn't want to read and run, hugs to you deja vu :( certainly sounds as though you are better off without him.

Have just read through the thread and i'm so shocked that a human being could be so cruel. You are definitely better off without him but for him to turn around and say he won't give you money for bills this month is horrific. You are pregnant and vulnerable and all he cares is about is having pub money! I really wish you all the luck in the world. There is plently of support on this website if you ever just need someone to talk to. Take care.
