telewest blueyonder

Hi all,

Just subscribed to telewest and did self setup as the previous owners of our house had telewest and all the connections.

I got ahead of myself (not reading the instructions:p ) and connected the modem straight into my pc without loading the blueyonder software. It's all working fine as you can see and I don't really need to have another email address or anything like that. Is there any need to have it installed or do you think I can continue to use the broadband without it?

Comments

  • No, with cable modems they work with no drivers etc. &, if it's anything like NTLs (which it almost certainly is) you can do without it as it just loads extra stuff during startup. You can set up mailboxes etc. on the Telewest website.
  • I don't need any more rubbish loading on startup! thanks.
