Hi folks,
I know it seems like it's been a long wait but we've managed to get the new servers online and the Forums are running on them now.
We really wanted to get it done before Christmas but doing so has meant that we haven't had as much testing time as we'd like. Like all new technologies, this isn't perfect and we'll be doing a bit of tweaking and optimising over the next few weeks.
You probably won't notice much difference in performance in off peak times but you should notice a big difference during peak times such as lunchtime, mid-evening and all day on Tip day. We're hoping not to see any load related database errors at all.
If you have any issues with technical operation of the Forum, please post them on this thread. If you're experiencing extreme slowness, database errors or any other glitches, we'd like to know about them.
I'd like to thank the Support people at the Bunker for working so hard to build these servers and get them online, my own technical team (MSE Neil and MSE Dantelo) for the hours they've put in and also thanks to all the users for their patience and useful feedback.

Great work! Will be online most of today so will give you some feedback if I get any errors but top marks for getting them online before Christmas.

Just got an error a few minutes ago...
Apologies
The MoneySavingExpert.com forums, have a minor glitch. This is most likely because we’re performing the regular Forum back ups and this means the capacity is temporarily reduced (or that the site has a huge amount of current traffic).
All should be ok in a minute
If you wait 30 seconds to a minute, and refresh your web browser, everything should be ok.
So sorry0 -
Yep, i just got that sweet message
