Did they pay cash or paypal? Did you list it as spares & repair & state that it was the bearings ot that you thought that was the problem?
You may want to remove the price & make as I've just found it.
A definite refund as you stated that the bearings were going, if the listing had siad spares or repair and that you had the new bearings for if that was the problem, fair enough but the buyer expected it to be the bearings.0 -
To quote your listing:
BUILT TO LAST! If you know Miele you know what I am talking about. This machine is about 7 years old and still works perfect. It has never let us down and has been brilliant! Bad bit the bearings are STARTING to make a noise I was going to replace them myself and bought the bearings which I have included in the auction for the machine. But my dad whet and bought us and new one so this one has to go is WAY TO GOOD TO SCRAP AND HAS A LOT OF LIFE LEFT! The Currys delivery guy was desperate to take it away with him!
That doesn't say spares or repair to me.
If I were the buyer I'd definitely be expecting a refund.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
The only way the heater goes like this is if the drum smacks it if the bearings are shot.
It won't be damaged if the bearings are just starting to make a noise.
I think you owe him his money back.0 -
I have to agree with the other posters.
You stated that the only thing wrong was the bearings, and that you included the replacements with it. So as far as the buyer was concerned they had a complete working item, that they just had to install the bearings. As it turned out they would have to buy more parts.0 -
The bearing have just started to go but I do know the heater was working fine until last friday when the new one was fitted, I am worried the machine has been damaged while being transported on its side buy the new owner or when he got it out at his side.EVERYTIME YOU THANK MY POSTS A PUPPY DIES!

Selling something that you know is only good for spare and repair, but stating that it still works, and now not wanting to refund can only be described as a scam. And we don't often get scammers posting here with their real ebay ID.
(I like the bit about the mini, you'd think people would know how bit a w/m is, but they probably do that...)0 -
If it was Spares or repairs you should have advertised it as such. So you have misrepresented it. So if you are a decent seller you should refund with nor problem.I just sold a washing machine on ebay Miele for £67 it was stated it needed the bearings replaced he now says the heater don't work and wants a refund as far as I am consurned this was spairs or repair. Well if they bring it back and it is obviously damages, then you wouldn't need to refund them. But you have only just mentioned that you fitted a new heater last Friday. If you did, and it was faulty, then you can exchange the heater, and then sell it again on ebay.0
