Im disgusted by the likes of Shell,Jet,Esso,BP....
The oil reserves have opened, and the price of oil has dropped over 10%, but i aint seen drop much at all by the clowns....

Only the supermarkets have slashed, infact asda twice by 5p (which is still not enough imo).

The government needs to step in but why would they..... they want the price to be high fo more tax.

These clowns are quick to up the price, but when it drops they wait for ages to check stability of the markets...
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?

Just because the market dropped today doesn't mean your going to see it at the pump the same day, it has to go through the process and can take several days before the reduced oil hits the fuel courts as fuel.
I do agree they are generally slow to reduce when compared with oil price rises.

I have to say, all of the petrol stations I pass on my regular route to work have reduced their price by around 3p per litre unleaded in the last week or so.

Buy you own oil well and only sell to MSE users for 50p Litre + about 70p in tax of course.
Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...

  • Buy a super frugal car, it'll be like driving in a motorised shoe, but heck it'll be cheap and VED almost if not free.

Never fear, when enough have done that road pricing will be introduced (in the interests of climate change/warming/cooling/rotation, delete according to day of the week) to recoup lost revenue.

There's no escape, till the GR calls.

You obviously dont understand the concepts of the petrol forecourts.

You say oil has dropped 10%.

    Lets put it like this

    £1.30ppl per litre

    of that you pay

    57.95p duty
    22.12p VAT
    5p to forecourt
    44.93ppl to oil company

So with your 10% reduction on £1.30ppl its not going to go down 13p as you probably think its more likely to go down 4ppl, plus alot of petrol stations have contract prices which can be weekly lagged so they will still be paying the higher rate as the price is calculated on an average of last weeks prices.

Over 60% of the cost is tax so the 10% will only affect 40% of the actual cost at pumps.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

so 4/5 working days.........like I said it can take several before the forecourt is even ordering the reduced oil with another couple of days before it reaches the pumps.

Its so annoying isnt it OP(sarcastic comment), you realise there are other factors involved apart from the government in petrol going up

The UK£ has dropped against the US$ (which oil is priced in) from $1.65 to the £1 to closer to $1.60 to £1 which has made oil more expensive for us to buy.

This has taken away some of the savings we should have been experiencing from the oil price drop.
