Fast payments work from Monday to Friday, exc Bank Holidays, where both accounts are within the network
So are you saying if Id sent that money on Monday she'd have got it on Monday?? Because I send her money every monday in life and it hits her account within minutes. So I expected the money transferred on Sat to hit her account on the Monday really....
Here was me thinking I was doing the right thing to get it to her quicker........sigh lolLight Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
I think the answer the OP is looking for is:
Because Santander are:
The wife and I had the misfortune of banking with them for a year. They truly are the the worst bank I have ever encountered. Their staff seem ill informed, don't seem to have any product knowledge, or motivation.
They snare customers with headline grabbing interest rates, and cashback offers. In my opinion and experience the bank fail to deliver an acceptable standard of customer service and fail to deliver their own products adequately or consistently.
In our cases they didn't even want to divulge their complaints procedure, and wanted to make it difficult to lodge a formal complaint.
Santander are probably the product of scooping up some of the UKs worst failed crappy banks and merging these together under a single banner to create one big super crap bank, with a great big side dish of gazpacho.
Personally I would rather stick a fork in my eye than bank with this joke of a bank. They do however have a nice logo that suits F1 cars.My farts hospitalize small children0 -
This is interesting, it lists the limits available as faster payments per bank. Santander's limit is much smaller than other banks.

The clue is in the name, Santander. It needs no further explanation.
The Oxford dictionary will make Santander a verb one of these days.
"you are behaving so santanderish today"
Santanderish - to behave with complete incompetence and lack of knowledge.0 -
They are rubbish - the limit is so low so they can hang on to your money for a few days and earn interest on it.
Rubbish bank - they did this to me too a couple of years ago.. ggrrr...

...
That is only 1/2 the reason, the other 1/2 is they have serious security issues.
Do a quick google and see how many phantom withdrawals there have been on peoples accounts totally emptying them.
