ISA Transfer

I've been slowly accruing an ISA over the past few years which is now sat with C&G.
This year I used my entire new allowance to open a new ISA with Santander.
I'd now like to transfer my 16K C&G ISA over to somewhere else. Halifax looks good. However to open the Halifax account it says I must fund it with £1.
If I've used my entire allowance then presumably I can't do that.
Is £1 really going to stop me doing this? Is there another way?!
Cheers
Chris

Yes, £1 is going to stop you Im afraid, you cant put new money into another iSA this year.
You'll have to look around for an ISA that you dont have to fund initiallymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Why not just add it to the Santander one you have just opened.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The Halifax system does say it wants £1 deposit, but you can actually ignore this. Open it and it'll have £0 in it. Then just fill in a transfer form.

Yep the Halifax ISA will accept transfers in without any deposit regardless of what it says on their website. You should do it in-branch if you can though, the online process is awfully slow and/or useless.0
