I wonder if you can help me out, i too have been misled by this company and have parted with £397 back in October. I was informed in Feb by the solar panel installers that my roof does not qualify for free panels, so i have gone back to Think Green Earth for my refund with no joy. Unfortunaely i do not have a copy of the refund policy as i viewed it online and didnt think to print a copy off. Would anyone have a copy of their refund policy stating a refund if your roof is not suitable? If i can get a copy of this then i can claim from my credit card company.
Regards

Kind regards

Hi We too paid £397 for a survey that never happened, paid by debit card - has anyone had any luck with contacting this company or getting a refund from debit card? I am really annoyed at hubby for paying in the first place (last february) and we really cant afford to lose this money? Any advice please?!!! Thankyou!0 -
Cannot recommend this company. Beware. We feel we had a lucky escape, on the day of installation they aborted project after 9 months of waiting to complete the process.0

Just been researching Solar PV Immersion Relays and come up with this website.
http://www.immersun.co.uk/
Does anyone have one or have a PDF brochure with costs?
Update: Just received a call back. Stock is being released at the end of the month and the installed price will be £500 - £600. Very easy, for an electrician, to install as only needs one clip on sensor and power supplied. also comes with a timer and diverts 100% of excess solar energy to the immersion element.4kW PV System installed 21/2/12: Aurora Power One 3.6 Inverter

On course for 19.8% ROI in Year 1.

There seem to be a real trade off here as the various devices have different functionality. The cheap ones have simple on/off functionality which is of little use, others have clever functionality with proportional control of the immersion and intelligent measurement at a prohibitive price. Not much use really.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -
Moved my response to the Hobbo2006's ImmerSun posting to the other thread he posted in. If anyone has any comments I'd suggest you reply in this thread.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0

It is up to each individual to determine whether Solar PV is a good investment for them and that will generally depend on their own personal financial circumstances.
If you are risk averse, and believe that you can get a better return sticking your money in a savings account, then Solar PV is definitely not for you.0 -

Hi... a month or two after i'd had my solar panels installed my electricity company asked me for my electricity meter reading. It was then I realised my meter was running backwards. I now know this is a common problem. I informed my electricity supplier Scottish Power (my FiT is with British Gas). I'm told I will have my electricity meter changed (still waiting a month later).
In the meantime they are still estimating my readings - over estimating now I have solar panels.
Any one experienced this. I just wonder how they will settle this ? They will eventually have to bill me on my actual usage won't they ? They surely can't charge me a final bill on a reading they've estimated can they ?
Any experiences would be of interest...0
