Old contract I thought I cancelled...
Hi there,
I had a contract with Vodafone I thought I cancelled but somehow didn't and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to speak to anyone to not have to pay (as I haven't used it). Even if they have a moral core and anyone has got help in the past?
I paid up what I thought would be my final bill last December (for November's usage) and got told I haven't used it since, which makes sense.
So the bill is £140 for January-May.
Worst of the worst I am a student and was expecting to be in a (just more than minimum wage) placement for the next 15+ months but got sacked for a stupid mistake so I am also a pauper... is there anything I can do or anyone I can speak to?
Cheers!
Also I work 8 hours a week + my partner works about 12 a week so the jobcentre won't hear me because were a couple who work more than 16 hours a week combined so that's out.

Do they not bill you monthly?
Why have they not contacted you while the unpaid bills got accumulated?0 -
Not using it is irrelevant. The service was available to you, so you'll have to pay the arrears that have built up.
If you rented a car for a week but didn't use it, would you expect to get a full refund? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi Accendo,
I am sorry to hear that the contract wasn't cancelled when you originally requested it to be. So that I can look into this for you, can you drop me an email to the address shown here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject and a link to this thread.
Many thanks,
Heidi
