Outrageous Debit card fees & baggage charges

I have just spent half the day paying to call Flybe (despite landline sourced on saynoto8070 it's still 10p minute) to check in baggage as unable to do it online (that was the other half of the day-eventually told it's due it being a co-shared flight. Funny that the website still allows you to book insurance etc though...) they eventually agreed to sell me baggage charges at oline prices and took £51.98 for 2 bags (both ways) then charged me £18 to use a debit card!!!! (Not a credit card) saying that only visa electron is free. My bank natwest don't issue those and I have never heard of this distinction between debit cards before.

I am furious and am warning others to BEWARE.
