I'm just watching the news and they said they are in trouble but didn't say they'd gone into administration - are you sure?

Yikes. Habitat, Jane Norman, Focus Moben... it's never ending! Very sad for those people who will lose their jobs as a result of all this.

They are not officially going into administration they are "to halve its portfolio of 364 stores", whereas Jane Norman and Homeform have officially gone into administration. On the other hand it's not a good sign !

They haven't gone into administration, they are just closing up to 180 stores over the next few years as leases expire!

you should change the title & post OP!

Thorntons on Tuesday confirmed it would close a minimum of 120 stores over the next three years “taking advantage of [its] lease expiry profile” after a strategic review of the struggling business concluded it could only sustain a reduced portfolio of between 180 and 200 stores.
