Thanks the forms are now printed and started to be filled in.

I currently own a car on HP agreement, but missed the last two payments and wont be paying anymore like i have with all my creditors, would i be ok in getting them to take the car back now and leaving me with a settlement figure once its sold to include in the bancrupcy or just leave it for the OR to sort out?

i asked my car finance guys when faced the same predicament, and you might have to be up to date with payments for them to take it back, and have paid a certain amount...best to check your financial agreement or ring them up.

Right then bit of an update, the car is going back to the finance company at the end of the month to be auctioned off. I will then get a figure of how much i owe to clear the finance. I am getting married on the 3rd of Sept in a very simple minimal civil ceremony and then save to go BR around the 1st Nov 11. The forms are about to be filled out this week and i will be requesting statements from all my credit cards. My loan has been defaulted and passed on, same as the next account, swift cover and the egg card. The HSBC is still with them as is the halifax for the time being. So with 4 default notices my credit file is at rock bottom so BR can be the only way to fix it.

I just thought i would keep everyone updated on my progress, last night i sat down and started to fill out the paperwork to apply for BR and it wasnt too bad really. Once the car goes back and i know how much i owe the finance company i will fill the form out in my best handwriting. Hopefully the car is going at the end of this month.
