Good point Tigerfeet. Also, do you have any joint bank accounts, debts or anything else financial? You'll be best disassociating everything possible before you go BR so your OH's credit rating isn't affected. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

are emergency funds allowed tiger feet?0

Yup!

When they changed the way the IPA was worked out it was brought in as a normal expense. Normally £10 per person per month.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Many thanks all,
I have adjusted the figures now and will post up later the updated version.
I currently bank with HSBC.
I do have a joint account but will be removing my name from it very soon apart from that i have no other financial ties with my partner.0 -
Ok then you need to open an account with the Co-op (Cashminder account) or Barclays (Cashcard account) They are the only 2 BR friendly accounts.
Cashminder you get telephone and internet banking, DD's and SO's, withdraw from any Link cashpoint, deposit in Co-op bank or you can use any Post Office, Visa Debit card. You can open the account over the phone 08457 212 212.
Cashcard you get DD's and SO's, withdraw from any Link machine, deposit in Barclays Bank, Visa Debit Card. You need to go to the bank to open the account.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Is it ok to do this now or best to wait till i am actually declared BR?0 -
Perfectly ok to sort it now and get it running smoothly. Just mark it on your forms as the your everyday account post BR. The OR should then declare no interest in it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
