I was quite surprised to find that there are over 1,000 4 bed houses within 10 miles of Westminster for under £325k asking price on Rightmove. Even so, finding somewhere nice is going to be hard. Maybe try Kingsbury/Kenton area? If you come from the South West, you may be surprised how 'ethnic' parts of London are. (BTW, I know I am setting myself up for some unpleasant comments here, but I just want the OP to be aware of something that may for all I know be an issue for him.)

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/find.html?locationIdentifier=REGION^93980&insId=2&minPrice=200000&maxPrice=325000&minBedrooms=4&displayPropertyType=houses&primaryDisplayPropertyType=houses&oldDisplayPropertyType=houses&oldPrimaryDisplayPropertyType=houses&radius=10.0&includeSSTC=true&_includeSSTC=on

Thanks Mate, good point about ethnic area's. I would not like to live in a overly ethnic area/ghetto and would certainly avoid it. Area's that represents overall society will be just fine.

BTW before anyone says anything, my origins are ethnic :)

I have lived in North-West London for 27 years and would certainly agree that Pinner/North Ruislip/Eastcote /Northwood/Hatch-End are the best areas to live in. They have a great feel, good houses, and great links to shops. However, transaport links vary as Ruislip and Eastcote has more tube stations than Pinner, and there are none in Hatch-End.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am ethnic too, and I live in an area which is rather ghetto-ised. It's a nice area, and I'm very happy here, but somebody from a different ethnic group might not be happy here. It's also not obvious just by looking around that it's a bit of a ghetto.

Thank you, exactly the kind of suggestions/information I was asking for!
