the canviser for save the children can't read my notices in my window at the door saying no sales..

I pointed it out to him and he said yeah i read it, then he grinned, i said look i know you want money, i don't have it, and i don't have notices up for people like you to ignore and take a chance it's not getting you something i don't have.

I don't answer my door to them.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

  • I tend to answer the door with a large Brindle Shepherd. Tends to make most of them back away slowly!

These made me chuckle - it's a front and back of a 'print-it-yourself' leaflet to save those tedious discussions and guilt!

I had three Oxfam chuggers turn up at my front door. I am not sure why there were three unless they are sticking together because of safety concerns.
  • I had a bloke from Save the Children knock at my door just before 9pm a few weeks weeks ago,I told him I wasn't interested and his reply was "so you're not interested in saving poor children then?" I told him I had two of my own to look after before I helped anyone else's.I thought he was very rude lol

I too had a "charity" collector come round the other day - 8.30pm which to be fair I thought was a bit late for it...

As soon as he started I told him I had no money and he proceeded to tell me 'its ok you can set up a DD'. So I proceeded to tell him I was unemployed and unable to pay my own bills (nothing short of the truth) and he muttered something and left. It really frustrates me....

Hmm...i have a sign saying " i do not give to charities" on my door..doesn't stop them..i'm always polite and ask if they can read..when they answer "yes"..i point to my sign and say obviously not..then i shut the door..or let the dog out depends on my mood...
