  • Hi Sim, my feeling is that it is the way that the LIMA software is designed.

For example one of the things that I am kicking myself for is for my medical my OH said persuaded me to wear something other than my normal old joggers/T shirt that I am comfortable in. I was asked if I could do up buttons to which I answered truthfully 'Yes but with difficulty'. At the same time I said that although I could do this I could not hold a pen and write as because of the nerve damage in my hand my hands cramp after a couple of minutes (this is also part of what was written on my ESA50). As these both come under the same descriptor I have a feeling I will score no points in this section because of the first answer. I also suspect that because I was reasonably dressed this will count against me as well.

This is one example and since my assessment I have been stressing over what else I may have said/done that they could do this with. I thought that I was well prepared as I have been avidly reading everything regarding things like this but because of the meds I take my memory can be a bit iffy at the best of times. If I ever have to have another assessment at least I will be forewarned but am anxiously waiting for the results and have already started to go through the form and will try to get evidence to prove what I can and can't do for an appeal.

Still I can do nothing about it now so will just wait and see what happens and go from there.
Sometimes it seems that just when I think I have reached rock bottom, someone hands me a shovel.

    Hiya,

Sorry to read about your health problems.

It sounds like you responded with full, honest answers. They can't ask for more than that.

Easier said than done, but try not to worry about something you have no control over! (If only I could take my own advice..)

I wore my suit jacket, smart jeans and loafers and probably looked like a right bobby dazzler to them.

It doesn't change the fact though, that sometimes I feel so low that I can't even get out of bed.

I've read about people with Cancer, actually scoring zero points, so I really wouldn't take any rubbish from Atosh personally ;-)
