Advice Please - In Redundancy Limbo

Yes - if you can let us know when the administrators are officially appointed that would be fantastic. I know that the letter is going to come through the door but it would just be good to have an idea when so I can poise myself and get ready to run down to the local council offices, etc to hand in completed forms.
Dorme - I found out this morning that one of the executive directors who was trying to save the companies was also sent home this morning and since all bank accounts have been frozen I think it's highly unlikely that they are draining any remaining funds
As soon as I hear any changes I will post here and feel free to let others know, I would rather post here than on a social network site. I feel better knowing that I'm helping a little bit, even if it's just a head's up about the letters.0 -
I work for the same company Incognitos and I've ben here well over 10 years so I'm in the same position as you right now. just hanging in and waiting....good luck0

BUMP!
Any news?0 -
I heard from Incognitos yesterday that they were told to wait at home until they received a phone call to tell them to go in. As of yesterday, no more news.
I have heard that one of the people who were told to go last Thursday received at letter. Don't know when it was dated or exactly what was said in the letter, it was a bit vague but did mention about the threat of redundancy, but no real news.0 -

i would assume the fact incognitos was sent home would show that the administrators are finally in?
my partner received the letter, it explained the situation and that administrators would be appointed iminantly, upon there designation, it is likely she will be made redundant, that was it!0 -

No just the opposite unfortunately, we were sent home because they aren't "officially" in yet. They have been in the building, but not officially appointed. We are to go back in when they are.
I have not received a letter by the way, I'm guessing that those of us left won't receive one until were not needed.0 -

Well, apparantly "sh**ps" have been carried into a new contract and are safe, apparantly they are in the process of registering the new company details now?!
if administrators arnt in now, then that takes the biscuit, to say the least as the old companys have been left to rot whilst the directors run onto a new company!0 -
If you've been told information regarding a restructure or potential redundancy that in itself needs to be put into writing. Depending on the number of people involved (can't remember what the stages are), you need to give a timeframe for the consultation to take place.
I do know what you mean about staying the course and tbh if you do leave it will be seen as either breach of contract or your taking voluntary redundancy if you take money from them. Either way, you may well put any JSA claim in jeopardy so you do need to stay and you do need to get something in writing, if only about the consultation process.
In the meantime,I'd look for another job and start updating your Cv. It won't hurt and you may find something out there more suitable.
Best of luck.0
