You are correct Dunstonh, it cannot be FP, if it is then it is ppi frontloaded, and you can claim mis sell on that.

FP as in first plus? or friends provident?

If it is Friends Provident then is it actually something else - Term Assurance, Critical Illness or Permanent Health Insurance?

Okay, got our documents out, and this states "Payment Protection Plan" and the policy states "Mortgage Payment Prection Monthly Premium Plan", and covers a number of items including unemploymanet protection, disability.

I've sent my letter off now, so will just see what happens.

As DunstonH says, that sounds like it is a "good" policy.

Why do you think it was missold?

we think that we were missold, as at the time we had a Loan from First Plus, and they rang regarding this MPPI. we were put under pressure on the sales call to take this policy from FP.

you previously said it was a monthly policy, and also said they put you under pressure to take it, of which will probably never be proved.

your complaint is unlikely to get anywhere as thats easily rejectable, for what reason should you not have had the PPI? for your complaint to be upheld it would need to be unsuitable or you not eligible for it.

dont confuse a perfectly decent monthly policy mixed up with a single premium PIP thats added to the loan and incurs interest. they are viewed in completely different ways.

If that is the basis of your complaint then its an easy rejection. Sales are sales. They are allowed to sell it. There is nothing wrong with having the product. You have to identify some wrong doing. You have said its monthly which eliminates a complaint on the basis of being set up wrong. So, you have to complain about a rule breach or something along those lines.

something doesnt sound right about this, monthly premium and first plus dont usually go together.

Dunstonh it right, sales are sales, not that its right but pressure is put on people every day, the car salesman put pressure on me, it doesnt mean my car was mis-sold.

No but the fact that he told you it was a Ferrari does:
