Cheap caravan break?

Hello
I'd like (maybe likes a bit strong...but ya know ;))to take my MIL on a dog-friendly UK break, probably just for a long weekend. I've looked at a few in southwest Scotland and its coming in at about £300 which is a bit steep I think. Do one of the newspaper companies do a constant book online offer? I think its the Daily Mail but when I google it looks like a token collect.
We'd consider any location providing it's coastal and allows dogs.
Thanks for any suggestions :)

£300 does seem a little steep but if its a "long weekend" (thurs /mon or tues)inc you are stopping other bookings or potential bookings. Also if your looking inside the kids summer hols ? you say Scotland are you from scotland because the kids break up earlier there so if you looking mid july it may pay to come south of the border after mid august when the scottish kids go back to school then look up north of the border. I have a holiday let but its sat/sat during the hols then out of the kids hols its weekends(fri sat night 2 nights) & midweeks (mon/thurs night 4nights) leaving sunday as a floater for if anyone wants to use it. It works well.

  • I've never understood how, in this country, simple caravan accommodation should be so expensive. Its not exactly expensive to provide a field full of old caravans for rent. I think the mark up must be huge.

Greenface, I was looking for Fri-Mon. I thought that was the norm on caravan sites, Mon-fri or fri-mon. Im in Yorkshire so not particularly looking for Scotland I just like that area having been before. Dates are totally flexible too just want something cheap! Wondering if a holiday cottage/chalet might be cheaper?

Campsitefinder as useful as some people may find your info. I'm pretty sure it is not allowed on these forums to promote your Camping Membership Card via directing people to you site. If the card was free insted of £6.99 that might make a differance !

I will say though that you site does look interesting.

really don't know if this website has what you're looking for but worth a browse???

    http://www.breakfreeholidays.co.uk/

I booked through this site and the daily mail with token collect

just found a 3 night break for £149 for two people at Partk resorts Eyemouth Berwickshire BUT they don't allow dogs. But am sure there must be a park on there for the right price and allows dogs

It is massive . For the landowner that is our rent in total is near £3.5k pa and a very short Decent rental period and 2 short cheap rental periods either side. Do you have any land ?? Wish i did
