AOl + Spam

Options
I have been using AOL for years, and one of the main reasons has always been the way spam seemed to be dealt with ie: it didn't reach my mail box. However, over the past 2 or 3 weeks I have seen an increase of spam in my email, particularly supposedly from banks. so, I have 2 questions:

1. Any other AOL users have the same experience or is it just me?

2. If it becomes a nuisance and I decide to change my internet provider, which one has got good spam filters? I know nothing about this as I've never had to deal with it!

Thanks :D

Why don't you just raise the level on your spam filter one notch?
Or switch to something like Gmail, which has excellent filters?

macman, I read your post and thought "how do I do that?" so I investigated and have just done that. Thank you!
What didn't I think of doing that myself? I'm so silly sometimes!
