LloydsTSB is withholding my money

Hello all, this post is more a rant than anything.
I'm a member of this countries underclass, you know them the Unfortunates without a job. We have no respect, we have no social standing, we are forced to erk out a survival in this rich country where people drive around in cars worth the price of a house while I have to eat cold beans out of a tin.
Well, this waster gets his money every Sunday, note I said My Money because when I was working I paid a fortune in tax and they said I can have this money when I hit rock bottom to provide me with a minimum standard of living. So I will continue to call it my money.
Well normally I get my money on Sundays at 12 noon. Im supposed to get it by Monday but it goes in when it goes in and you get used to it don't you.
If like me you are on the dole then you will know what its like, money never goes as far as you want it to and I always end up borrowing a little here and there to help make ends meet, and of cause I tell people they can have it back on the Sunday as you should!
Last pay day for some reason my money didn't go in till 10.50pm. No explanation, no sorry nothing. I let tonnes of people down, I was going to ring the dole and find out whats happening if it carried on.
This payment is the same only this time we have a reason, the Lloyds have decided they will not process the payments anymore on Sunday afternoon, instead they will wait until the evening.
So my payments are being permanently delayed by a Bank.
Do they have any right to do this, this is my money and they are purposely delaying it presumably because some fat overpaid executive has realised they can save some interest if they bank someone elses dole money for an extra 12 hours.
I used to take my son out on Sundays, we visited relatives and went places as this was THE only day in 14 days I can afford to. Now he doesn't want to come down on the weekends now because he says (quite rightly) we never go anywhere.
Surely this is wrong, how can they delay my money when it is NOT THEIRS TO DELAY. If this was Virgin, or Sky or BT I would be charged a late payment fee, can I charge them?
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 can I request information regarding the time they receive my money so I can track just how long they ARE delaying it?
And before anyone thinks I'm a scrounger I actually can programme computers, I taught myself at 12, I now have 35 years of computer knowledge and IT. Everyone who know me cannot understand that since Brown signed us into Europe I no longer CAN work in the UK because I couldn't get qualified when I was younger.
So a skilled and talented man who has worked in the past as a Consultant for Touch! Ross now draws the dole while I watch people from abroad take my job! racist, no, take a look out of the window reader, its happening everywhere!

...that was some rant.
Anyway, Lloyds TSB used to allow credits due in on Mondays to be withdrawn on Sundays. Because they are merging their systems with those of Halifax, Monday's credits now go in on, er, Monday. When your dole money is supposed to go in, and when it would go in with damn near every other bank.
No conspiracy to crush the working man here I'm afraid.urs sinserly,

Are we talking about JSA which is processed as a BACs payment? I can't see why it's not the same each fortnight, as the bank receiving the payment do nothing other than apply it to your account as the DWP request.
From what I can gather though you've had the benefit of the money before you were actually due it and now you don't?0 -
If you were a programmer then you'd have a job and wouldn't be on the dole.0

I used to see it as a bonus when it went in slightly earlier, not as a right and certainly not to be relied upon.
Mine usually appears in my account between 11pm Sunday and 2am Monday (Santander)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

You for real OP, The money is due on a monday DWP process the payments to be paid on monday, Just because your payment isn't processed by the bank to appear on a sunday your going of your head. Go with RBS if you dont like it, They process payments for monday on saturday at 2:30 when systems update.0 -
As long as the money is in your account at opening of business Monday morning, you have no reason to complain.0
-
You aint gonna get very far on this forum (or anywhere) regarding this. Just what are you expecting here? Mondays credit still goes in early on a Sunday so you don't have a complaint to make.
If anything, you need to re-budget so you aren't spending Mondays money on a Sunday afternoon.0 -
Oh dear, sort yourself outCan I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

I've paid huge amounts of money out to the government in taxes all my working life. And can you believe it, they don't pay any money into my bank account on Sundays (or any other day for that matter), what a bloody cheek. :rotfl::rotfl:0

Money is due on Monday - not Sunday, so you have no beef really.
As to you saying "I used to take my son out on Sundays, we visited relatives and went places as this was THE only day in 14 days I can afford to. Now he doesn't want to come down on the weekends now because he says (quite rightly) we never go anywhere."..... How will this change mean that your son will lose out week after week? The first Sunday would have been a disappointment but then the money you didn't spend that week would then surely be available for the next?
I hope you're not serious with this rant - if you are, you really need to take a step back and get a grip on reality.
Also, why not step over to the debt free wannabe board for more support on budgeting.:hello:0
