Winter Tyres

Wondering if anyone knows when online stores start selling winter tyres?

I intend to buy some as early as I can, as had a nightmare last winter & I don't want a repeat.

I reckon the retailers made so much profit by upping the prices due to the snow that they are keeping their stocks to themselves till they can do the same this year.

I am considering going to Germany or France for a trip ans getting some winter tyres when i am there ,as winter tyres are compulsory there won't be the same rush and profiteering hopefully.

Can get them now but prices seem high- perhaps reduce when others in Germany etc start buying them in August?

Same price in france as the uk, and if you switch to mytyres german website, they're dearer in euros or pounds than the uk or france.

Come Early Spring and last winters part worns are seriously cheap.......I have 4 Aplins I plan to run this year.. Not priced any UK Winter tyres.. I look at the reifen website now and then and they seem much of a muchness TBH pricewise...

I see BFG do a G Grip Winter.... I'd be interested to know more about them as a cheaper "New " Alternative to Michelin Alpins.
  • The ones I'm looking at are out of stock. They are Hankook icebear & they are the correct size tyre for my car.
