I doubt it. EU levy and check in fees come to £16 RTN so you would probably have to get a flight at £7 EW . You will maybe get Dublin or Derry for that.

You can doubt what you like but I flew return to Reus from Birm. on 12th April this year for £10 total.

If you follow RA you should know not all fares have check in fees and taxes.
This year both RA and Easyjet decided the "peak summer months" should run for 4 months instead of July and Sept.,hence the raised and HOLDING up of prices.

I would have thought with a username like that, you could remember the 1p each way and £3/£5 flights.

RichardW has given an example of a no tax fare in his post number 3.

Just noticed now that the "travel period" for their latest "twice weekly sale" is the 1st Sept to 30th Sept.

Remember they have two sales every week PERMANENTLY, that start on a Tuesday and a Friday.

The Oct one will follow shortly.

Like your username, I think you are still living in 2010. Prices are up and Ryanair are conditioning us to £10 sales. The last one was £12. When was it ever that high?

There are some no taxes fares currently available

    Going Out: 06/10/2011 15:40hrs
    London-Stansted - Dinard
    1 x Adult 12.99 GBP
    Taxes/Fees 0.00 GBP
    EU 261 Levy 2.00 GBP
    1 x Web Check in 6.00 GBP

    TotalTotal Cost 20.99 GBP

Yes that particular 1 way fare of £21 includes £8 of compulsory EU and check in fees.
So if you can get as good a deal for the rtn leg, then its £42.

If you follow Ryanair sales, the prices have squeezed up quite a bit. 1p is a thing of the past now. You may get the odd day here or there for a tenner (+check in/eu fee) but the bargains now average £42 to £45 RTN to Med

This spreadsheet by jamesbrownontheroad tracks the headline sale prices of fares 2009/2010 and as you can see, prices are significantly higher overall this year.

Maybe you didn`t read this post the first time.
They doubled the summer peak months from 2 to 4 this year, that`s why the prices are higher and being HELD higher.
But come Oct (except school holidays) and onwards through the winter the bargains will return

    Good Morning 2010.:)
We will see. I hope you do get a bargain because that means I will too.
The 6 to 8 wk window I agree with and that is generally when I book also.
I have just noticed a pattern of rises over the last 2 years
Their annual report states as much. Their costs have risen and they expect fares to rise pro rata

    Good morning Budgetflyer :)

I agree fares have risen and the days of the 1p flights are gone.
Amazed they done them in the first place.

There are always bargains to be found and like me, you will seek them out.
The great advantage is if you can go any time the deals are out there.

I tend to avoid the peak four months anyway so not really affected.
Ryanair are still the cheapest of the "low costs".

    Have a good day.
  • Thanks again, I think we'll wait a few weeks and see what happens.

Unfortunately, after booking the cruise we realised we'd picked the week of Glasgow school holidays to go. However, I have checked Ryanair for like 15 people so there is plenty of seats at the moment.

Oh and I had a look at Newcastle, would have strongly considered at those prices but they don't have a flight home on the date we need :(

So demand is likely to be good. Try and find cheap flights on the same route in the school holidays.

Easyjet fly Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sundays from Barcelona (El Prat) to Newcastle. Prices are reasonable too.

Technically you could fly out to Girona From Newcastle with Ryanair and back from El Prat with Easyjet.
