  • Just get the Hell out. Don't look back.

Once you are as far away from him and the family as possible, by all means consider telling your OH where you have moved to. Whatever you do, you have to tell him what his brother has been doing to you - whether he believes it or not is his decision - and photos of your injuries would be rather effective in confirming what you are telling him.

This doesn't sound like a BIL, this sounds as though he thinks he is in a relationship with you, like whilst your OH is inside, you're for his use instead.

You can't do this anymore and must stop it - otherwise there is a real chance that your OH could come out to find out that his brother has beaten you to death, killed the cat and is currently on the run with your little one, thrashing him with a stick for crying or something.

Well, yesterday didn't go very well in terms of getting the things I planned done.

But I'm going to be pleased with what I achieved rather than disappointed. Today starts tackling the upstairs, where I generally do a cursory bathroom clean every week and nothing else, so what I do is going to be very basic but still a massive improvement for me.

    Dailies as usual today.

The study is one of my two Rooms of Doom (the other, I am ashamed to say, is my bedroom ). I have already made a start on clearing the floors, and I am going to finish that off today and do a basic vacuum. I am also going to wipe clean the computer desk. Think that will be a major result in the office.
In the bathroom, I've swished and swiped for the last 2 days, so it already looks better. I'm going to vacuum the floor really thoroughly (hate having carpet in the bathroom, particularly behind the loo). I'll clean the sink but I'm not tackling the shower today. I know my limits :p.
The rest of the day will be busy with the kids. Plus I want to spend half an hour job hunting and at least half an hour on phone calls and paperwork.
Gardening this eve once the kids go to bed...I'm going to plant some more salad and some spinach.
If I have time after that, I'll go back to my plan for yesterday and knock off some of the things I didn't get done.
Have a good day all xxx

Missus, I've just read your post. I am so sorry you're going through this. And I don't think you're stupid, I know only too well how people get into situations like this.

Having said this, from an outsider's perspective, my personal feeling is that taking action now is the only way to keep you and your son safe. Think what you'd say to a friend in the same situation. I think you need to have no contact with him, and contact the police now. Obviously everything you say is really awful, but the stuff about the devil being in him and drowning the kitten makes me think he needs some serious help and would benefit himself from you calling them anyway. Make sure you are somewhere safe away from him, hon, and get official help.

MissusAka - I agree with everyone else - your first priority must be to keep you and your son safe. Huge hugs.

I'm not doing anything tonight although DD has a friend coming over so I'm hoping to get lots of jobs done but we'll see how it goes. I went to SW last night and lost 3lbs and got my ston award so was pleased with that.

    Have a good day all

Bedding in the wash and I had a word with DD yesterday about the dolss pram she had about 3 years ago and she is willing to get rid(she has played with it about 6 times?!?! Text a friend last night, whose daughter is doll and pram mad and we have agreed to sell for £10. It is stuck in the dining room(not a folding one) so I need to give it a wipe down before giving it to her.....off to do that now........xx

    Morning all

Off out with my friend today, going to be warm judging by the sky.

Have put one load of washing on the line and W's bedding in WM which I hope to hang out before I go out. DW unloaded and partially reloaded.

MissusAka will be thinking of you and hoping you can get something sorted for you and your son x

    Have a good day all.
