Lost a post!!! But DD is cracking on with her list...And I think that for her to do it willingly, then I need to set a good example, so all rooms are tidy with a couple of corners needing decluttering!!!

Off to the van on Friday, and DD's sports tomorrow pm.

As I am ahead of the list at the mo, I am going to get on with DD's bedding tomorrow (She needs a new duvet for the caravan so I bought one and I will put that on her bed here and take the other one with us when we go).

Have a good evening all xx

20something Have you got any cleaning stuff? I'd be tempted to take the washing up liquid to it, and use a sponge scourer (sponge one side/scourer the other) use it neat, no water, give it a good going over then rinse and see how it looks. Glass cleaner and kitchen roll is pretty good on the screens too, but they take a few goes.

vanilla Yay your DD, bet she's chuffed to bits :T

Not done much since I got in, feel a bit down in the dumps actually so went round to OH's for a brew, and got kisses and a biiiiiig hug, made me smile, but then came round home and I'm back in grumpy mode lol he bought me a new book so will emmerse myself in that after a hot 'LUSH' bubbly bath later on.

Littleys doing her room  wonders never cease, teenies in and not in my good books, the cat's on her last chance before she's chucked out in the garden, doing.my.nut.in! and the rabbits are running riot.

Need to bring the bin in, and make the tea, and hoover through, but just CBA. I've also killed 5 flies today who are obviously in here just to get on my wick. Spotted another one. AND my customer this morning forgot to leave my cheque so I'm down some cash this week which mucks up my financial plan.

Never mind! I'm gonna stick some music on and try and bring myself out of it. ;)

Heck! Falling asleep in your toddlers' nap time instead of doing housework doesn't help this Flying lark :p.

I'm quite behind. But I think the point of this for me is not to feel behind...I'm just going to start afresh from now and do what I can.

My kettle looks brand new! I'm ashamed to say I had no idea how dirty it was. I do wipe it when I clean the kitchen, but it had mould on some of the seals and creases . Had to get the toothbrush on it.

Started on my appliances, they aren't 100 per cent clean but they look great from a distance!

I am now about to do my half hour of paperwork, while periodically checking an item I'm bidding on on eBay that ends in 10m.

Hope you're all having a great day.

20somethinghousewife - my shower is just the same. I've tried various products and I can't shift the mildew...so any tips would be welcomed by me too, just in time for tomorrow!

    Thanks everyone, she's sooooo chuffed....:D

New pillows came today and i honestly can't wait to get into bed tonight to try them. How sad is that :rotfl:

Dinner now on and then the boys are away. School reports home and all good, can't believe they finish tomorrow. Painting can wait until i get the rest of the house done, so that will be the weekend.

    20somethinghousewife and Rachel.

Limelite gel is very good for shifting stubborn mildew and limescale. Just not OS or that cheap. But does last for ages.

    showers

dismantle shower head, put in polybag with white vinegar or lemon juice (wet cotton wool with it and leave) to remove limescale

demould with bleach - I use a toothbrush in my grout but if it's really bad get a cloth, dampen it and then pu neat THICK bleach on and wipe over and leave. Wear old clothes. Scrub if necessary. Wipe down with clean damp cloth which you swish and rinse

    Evening all :)
Well this is what I have done today: (Drum roll, lol)!

    [STRIKE]Cleaned downstairs bathroom
    Cleaned bathroom windowsill
    Hoovered bathroom
    Hoovered 5 rugs
Hoovered 2 living rooms (including under furniture of one) :)
    Polished fireplace
    Polished bar
Polished 2 glass tables and ornaments, glass tealight holders, etc
    Hoovered hallway
    Hoovered upstairs landing
    Hoovered 2 bedrooms
    Polished tv stand and ornaments[/STRIKE]
Phew! And it wasn't my house - it was somebody else's,lol! My first cleaning job - I took twice as long as I was supposed to but I was very thorough and the lady was so pleased that as well as paying me she gave me a lovely bunch of carnations :)

So I can indeed do this and am capable :)

Oh yes, in my own house I:

    [STRIKE]Washed dishes
    Washed
    Dried clothes
    Ironed clothes
Hoovered 2 living rooms and kitchen
Made pack lunch for school trip for DS2
    Cleaned breakfast bar[/STRIKE]

So am sort of a ickle bit proud of meself today :D

Here is what I intend to do tonight:

[STRIKE]Pop up local Lidl and do a bit of food shopping[/STRIKE]
    WM on
    TD on
Iron clothes for DS's and myself for morning
Look at list to see what to do next :)

Hope everyone is healthy and happy - love and hugs to all xx
